1.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the ringing signal cadence that is to be used for external
calls to an extension.
Calls in a private network that support net services (i.e. DPNSS/ISDN) are
always considered as internal.
1.3 EXAMPLE
The ringing signal used for external calls to an extension is to have the same
cadence as that used for internal calls.

PARNUM=4, PARVAL=D 1 D 2 D 3 D 4 D 5
3.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states for how long time a direct-in-dialling route (public or
private) can have call waiting (call offer) indicated to a busy extension.
Time out will result in rerouting to the PABX operator, provided that the route
has been categorized for rerouting on no reply. Otherwise the call will be
cleared.
3.3 EXAMPLE
A direct-in-dialling route categorized for automatically initiated call waiting is to
have this state activated for a maximum of 30 seconds.

5.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the maximum time that ringing signals are sent to an
extension at call from a direct-in-dialling line.
On time out a congestion message is sent to the calling party and the called
party is disconnected.
The time supervision of ringing (PARNUM=6) shall normally be longer than the
time supervision of rerouting (PARNUM=37).
5.3 EXAMPLE
The maximum time ringing signals are sent to an extension at call from a
direct-in-dialling line is to be 120 seconds.

PARNUM=8, PARVAL=D 1
7.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states if ringing signals are to be sent both to divertee position
and first called/sought extension, or only to the divertee position, when a call is
diverted on no answer.
The parameter is only valid internally. At diversion within the private network
value 0 is default.
The parameter is not valid when the divertee position is a hunt group.
7.3 EXAMPLE
The call is to be signalled both on the first called/sought extension and at the
divertee position when a call is diverted on no answer.

10.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the maximum parking time for a call parked by an
analogue extension.
An extension can park an answered call by pressing the R-button and replacing
the handset. The extension can then pick up the call from any other extension
by using procedure for this feature.
10.3 EXAMPLE
The extension is to be recalled from the parked call after 30 seconds.
PARNUM=11,PARVAL=30
11.1 FORMAT
Table 11
PARNUM=12, PARVAL=D 1 D 2 D 3 D 4 D 5
11.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the maximum time a ringing signal is to be generated on
a recall due to an unpermitted attempt to transfer the call before answer. If the
time expires and the calling party is an external line, or if the call is marked as a
serial call, then the call may be rerouted/recalled to PABX operator. Otherwise
clearing will take place.
Transfer before answer is not permitted if the call is marked for charging and if
the categories of the parties do not permit interconnection.
If transfer before answer is not permitted, the called party is disconnected, the
parked party and the extension that tried to make the transfer are recalled.
11.3 EXAMPLE
A ringing signal is to be generated for a maximum of 30 seconds on a recall
due to unpermitted transfer before answer.

extending by PABX operator before answer.
If the time expires and the call is marked as a serial call, then the PABX operator
will be recalled. Otherwise the call may be rerouted, if the extended party is
an incoming external trunk with appropriate rerouting category. Otherwise the
call is released.
See also PARNUM=6 (Maximum ringing time for external call to extension,
direct-in-dialling).
The time supervision of ringing (PARNUM=6) will normally be longer than the
time supervision of RINGING TIME ON CALL EXTENDING BEFORE ANSWER
(PARNUM=13).
The time must be longer than the time set for diversion on no answer.

MEWKEY = Flashing message
waiting key indicator.
DISPLAY = Message waiting
indication on the
terminal's display.
82.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states what type of indication is used to notify extensions of
message waiting. For analogue and digital POTS the choices are a ringing
signal in intervals (pling) or special dial tone. For digital telephones (DTS) the
choices include the above two options but also text on the display (if applicable)
and a flashing message waiting key. If the message waiting is for the ADN in
case of DTS, then the choices are special dial tone and text on the display (if
applicable). But the notification will occur only when the ADN key is pressed.
If the special dial tone has been selected, the lamp indicator is turned ON on
analogue telephone instruments with such equipment.
82.3 EXAMPLE
The special dial tone is selected to notify analogue extensions of message
waiting, but not for POTS or for DTS and cordless. Pling is not required for any
extension type. Text is selected for DTS instruments without a mewkey (but
with a display), and just a flashing mewkey for DTS instruments with a mewkey.

173.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the availability of direct media in traffic cases where the
call may end up being picked-up by an MNS key located in an IP extension.
The purpose of this limitation is to speed up the establishment of the media
once the call pick-up service is requested, by trading off the availability of direct
media in some traffic cases.
PARVAL is the sum of the selected values. Note that there are some
overlapping of the possible values. The meaning of values 1 and 2 is to force
internal and external calls to Gateway before and after the MNS call pick-up.
The meaning of value 4 is to force all kind of calls to Gateway after the MNS
call pick-up. I.e. the value 3 has the same effect as 7.

183.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the differentiated services (DiffServ) octet value with
which the ASB 501 04 tags UDP packets sent through ELU32-ROF 137 5428/1
or audio packets sent through IPLU-ROF 137 5067/1 to the IP network. This
value is used by routers in the IP network to give priority to the IP packets. For
more information about the DiffServ framework please refer to IETF RFC 2475.
Note: The PARVAL binary values are written in the normal reading order with
the least significant bit to the right. In the RFC documents the least significant
bit is on the left side.
The Diffserv octet consists of the field DSCP (bits 0 to 5) and Reserved (bits 6
and 7). The reserved field must be set to 0. The DSCP field is structured in
different ways depending on the per-hop behaviour (PHB) that is wanted to be
applied by the routers in the IP network to the IP packets. For a definition
and explanation of what per-hop behaviours are please refer to IETF RFCs
2475 and 3140. Please refer to IETF RFC 2474 for further details about the
DSCP field.
Currently there are three PHBs defined within the IETF recommendations:
Assured Forwarding (AF) described in RFC 2597, Expedited Forwarding (EF)
described in RFC 2598, and Class Selector Codepoints described in RFC 2474.
DSCP for AF PHB. Within the AF PHB group, the DSCP structure consists of
the fields Traffic class (bits 0, 1, 2) and Drop precedence (bits 3, 4, 5). The
Traffic class field may specify the classes Best effort, Class 1, Class 2, Class 3
and Class 4. For the binary values associated to each class please refer to the
tables below. The Drop precedence field may specify Low drop precedence,
Medium drop precedence or High drop precedence. For the binary values
associated to each precedence please refer to the tables below. Notice that
Low drop precedence means that the corresponding packet has a higher
probability of surviving router congestions.
The structure of the DiffServ octet for AF PHB is shown in the figure below:
DSCP for EF PHB . Within the EF PHB group, the DSCP bit-field is
unstructured. Thus the DiffServ octet for EF PHB is structured as shown in the
following figure:
The EF DSCP bit-field must take the binary value 101110 (bit 0-bit 5). The
PARVAL value is
10111000 = 184 (decimal).

190.5 EXAMPLE 3
Setting a value of the EF PHB group . The network administrator desires the
audio packets to receive CS3 PHB. From the description above, the DSCP
value is 011000 (bit 0-bit 5), and the DiffServ value is 01100000 (bit 0-bit 7,
the two added bits correspond to the reserved field, see figures above). This
equals decimal 96 and is the PARVAL value, as also seen in the table for the
Class Selector Codepoints.

191.2 FUNCTION
This parameter has the same function as PARNUM=237 but for the TCP
packets sent through ELU32-ROF 137 5428/1 or signalling packets sent
through IPLU-ROF 137 5067/1 to the IP network. For a description of the
meaning and usage of the value please refer to PARNUM 237 above.
DEFAULT VALUE
The default value of the DSCP for signalling IP packets specifies an AF 41.
191.3 EXAMPLE
Setting a value of the AF PHB group . The network administrator desires the
signalling packets to receive an AF PHB of Class 43.

192.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states if the network topology discovery routine must be
executed for all H.323 interface types (extension, trunk) in the exchange.
If the IP interface boards (extension, trunk) are blocked or removed, the routine
is stopped regardless of the parameter value. In case the parameter value is
1, the routine execution is re-started automatically once an IP interface board
(extension, trunk) becomes active.
The default value for this parameter is 1 (Network topology routine is active).
192.3 EXAMPLE
The network topology discovery routine must be active as long as there are
active IP boards in the system.

196.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the internal and/or the public dial tone. When the internal
and/or public dial tone is changed and if there are TMU-boards inserted in the
system, the boards have to be restarted in order to activate the new tones.
196.3 EXAMPLE
Change the external/public dial tone to Morse-D keeping the internal dial tone
as Standard dial tone.
