PROVINCE OF BUKIDNON AND PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THIS PURPOSE.”

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Proclamation Number 1490 of the President Ferdinand E. Marcos on

August 26, 1975 declared as September 11, 1975, and year thereafter, as “Araw ng mga
Barangay sa Pilipinas,” and enjoin all our countrymen to commemorate this significant event with
a fitting civic activity in observance thereof to be led by the Barangay leaders;
WHEREAS, Municipal Ordinance No. 86 Series of 1974 of Malaybalay, created Barangay 11 by

fusing Barangay 19 and 20 and named Barangay 11.
WHEREAS, Municipal Ordinance No. 86 Series of 1974 took effect on December 27, 1974
immediately thereafter the special meeting held by the Municipal Council of the Municipality of
Malaybalay;
WHEREAS, the celebration of Araw ng Barangay Eleven will give value and recognition to the
previous Barangay Chairman by providing activities that will identify their contributions to the
Barangay;
WHEREAS, The Araw ng Barangay celebration will symbolize both the unity of all barangay
officials with their constituents and the great ideals and aspirations for a clean and good Barangay
Government;
WHEREAS, to attain these ends, it is fitting and proper to set aside a day for our citizens to
dedicate themselves to ideals and objectives of our Barangays;
NOW THEREFORE, be it enacted by the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay 11, Malaybalay
City that:
Section 1. TITLE OF THE ORDINANCE. This ordinance shall be known as “Araw ng Barangay
Onse Celebration ordinance of Barangay 11”.
Section 2. RATIONALE, PURPOSE AND INTENT OF THE ENACTMENT. In order to make

the celebration of Araw ng Barangay more significant, an opportunity to look back on the history
of the creation of Barangay 11 and a venue that will recognize the efforts and contributions of
the past Barangay Chairman.
Section 3. COVERAGE. All seven (7) zones within the jurisdiction of Barangay 11, Malaybalay
City, Bukidnon.
Section 4. ALLOCATION OF FUND. Funds shall be allocated annually by the Barangay to defray
the expenses for the conduct of various activities during the celebration.
Section 5. RECLAMATION.
It shall be declared that December 27 and every year thereafter as Araw ng Baranay Onse,
Malaybalay City, Bukidnon with the following activities, to wit;
1. INCORPORATION OF ANNUAL BARANGAY PALARO - to promote Physical
Education and Sports as an integral part of inclusive community and as an affirmation
to the Barangay’s commitment to full development of the great potentials of the youth
to become responsible and globally competitive citizens to our society. The activities
under this activity are major and minor sports: BASKETBALL, VOLLYBALL, BOARD
GAMES, ATHLETICS and LARO NG LAHI.
2. PASKOHAN SA BARANGAY – An activity to showcase various events that is related
to Christmas.
3. KATARUNGANG PAMBARANGAY DAY – An activity to strengthen the advocacy of
Katarungang Pambarangay as Barangay Judicial System and organize various activity
related to KP.
Section 7. REPEALING CLAUSE. An ordinance, rules and regulations or parts thereof in conflict
or inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed and modified accordingly.
Section 8. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. If for any reason, any provision, section or any part of this
ordinance is declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction or suspended or revoke by the
Sangguniang Bayan, such judgment shall not affect or impair the remaining provisions, sections
or parts hereof which shall remain and continue to be in full force and effect.
Section 11. EFFECTIVITY. This ordinance shall take effect upon the approval by the City
Council and after posting of copies in the Barangay Hall and three (3) other conspicuous places
in the Barangay, which occurs later.
ENACTED AND APPROVED this __day of ______, 2021 at Barangay 11, Malayalay City,
Bukidnon.
