TBC Midyear Prayer and Fasting Devotional

(July 19-25, 2020)

Day 1 Abide through a relationship

“Become a man or woman of prayer...Let your heart and mind be kept close to the principal calling of your life, which is
to hunger and thirst after God and His righteousness...Let the thoughts and intents of your heart be shaped and guided
by time spent in His presence.”

Passage:
Ephesians 2:4-5

Prayer Points:
1. Pray that you will establish habits (Quiet Time, Prayer) that will help you grow in your relationship with God. Confess
to God all struggles or obstacles that is hindering your spiritual growth today. Be honest to God. He knows your
struggle.
2. Pray for 3 people. Pray that they will grow in their relationship with God.

Day 2 Follow Jesus one day at a time

Follow Jesus one day at a time. Keep yourself right in the center of God’s will by obeying Jesus.

Our willingness and desire to be obedient to the teachings of Jesus is at the heart of our entire faith walk.

Passage: Genesis 12:1-5; John 15:10-15

Prayer Points:
1. Pray for a willing and repentant heart to obey God daily.
2. Pray for patience as you walk with Jesus daily.
3. Pray that the people affected by Covid-19 will become lesser everyday.

Day 3 Be Fruitful

The amount of time we spend with Jesus – meditating on His Word and His majesty, seeking His face – establishes our
fruitfulness in the kingdom.

Prayer Points:
1. Pray that your faith will continue to produce Christ-like character.
2. Pray that your life will be a blessing to the people around you.
3. Pray for fast recovery for those who are affected by Covid-19.

Day 4 Love one another

Love each other dearly always. There is scarcely anything else in the world but that: to love one another.

Prayer Points:
1. Pray that you may forgive those who have hurt or offended you. Pray that conflicts will be resolved.
2. Pray that the people of our nation will not be overwhelmed by their emotion that they may not be led to actions
that will hurt others.

Day 5 Love your Family

“Love your family. Spend time, be kind & serve one another. Make no room for regrets. Tomorrow is not promised &
today is short.”

Passage: Deuterenomy 6:4-9; Colossians 3:18-21

Prayer Points:
1. Pray for each member of your family. Bless each of them through interceding for them.
2. Pray for protection from sickness (especially from Covid-19) and provision for needs.
3. Pray for all the families of our nation. Pray that through this pandemic the families will be united. Pray that each
member will contribute to be part of the solution, not the problem.

Day 6 Love the Nations

Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. A nation does not have to be
cruel to be tough.

Passage: 1 Chronicles 7:14; 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Prayer Points:
1. Pray for the Philippines. Pray that as a nation we will unite. Pray that the leaders will have the integrity in solving the
problems of the pandemic.
2. Pray that there will be a vaccine to protect people from Covid-19. Pray that the manufacturers of the vaccine will be
generous to share it to other countries so that everyone will be protected from the virus.
3. Pray that the nations will be drawn closer to God through this crisis.

Day 7 Love for the Church

The Church is not a gallery for the exhibition of eminent Christians, but a school for the education of imperfect ones.

Passage: Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 1:10

Prayer Points:
1. Pray for the leaders of our church. Pray that they will be examples of maturity and godliness.
2. Pray for compassion towards the people around us. Pray that we will be able to practice our biblical values in order
to connect people to Jesus.
