ACTIVITY PROFILE
I. Title of Activity Project TUKLAS (TUklas Kaalaman, Linangin at
Saliksikin): Support to SalikSuri Banner Program of CID

II. Rationale For teacher researchers, school administrators, and other

stakeholders in the teaching and learning environment,
action research is an appealing option to consider. Action
research in education can be defined as the practice of
analyzing a school scenario in order to better understand
and improve the educational process. It equips educators
with fresh knowledge and awareness of how to improve
educational practices and address major issues in
classrooms and schools. Because action research is
participatory in nature, it follows a methodical procedure
and provides a variety of options for people in the teaching
profession. Facilitating educator professional development,
improving teacher empowerment, and bridging the gap
between research and practice are all possibilities.

The fundamental purpose of action research in education is

to find strategies to improve the educational experience for
students involved. At the same time, action research has the
potential to improve the lives of individuals who work in
educational systems. To give an example, action research
has been connected to teachers' professional growth and
development. As a result, equipping teachers with the
requisite skills, knowledge, and focus to participate in
meaningful inquiry about their professional practice will
improve it and result in positive changes in the learning
community's educational goals.

Project TUKLAS seeks to strengthen the research culture at

the school level in support to SalikSuri, one of the 7 banner
programs of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID)
of SDO Cavite Province. The proponent believes that the
school will surpass the 4 submitted research proposals for
BERF approval last school year through conduct of research
