Note​: This is the official website for Degrees of Lewdity. Use it to check and download the most
recent build.

This tutorial serves as a ​fail-proof​ guide to downloading, and extracting Degrees of Lewdity.
Please follow the detailed instructions carefully to avoid any potential errors.

It should be noted that the game cannot be “installed” in the typical fashion of what would be
installing a game (i.e. an InstallWizard) - it will instead be extracted.

For Android/iOS devices, it cannot be obtained from the Google Play Store/Apple App Store due
to the nature of the game - and will once again need to be extracted.

The PC tutorial will be listed first. The Android/iOS tutorials are listed afterwards.

 Game Description

"Degrees of Lewdity is an erotic game. You play an 18-year-old boy or girl in a town full of people with
lewd intentions. Go to school and find honest work, turn to a life of crime, or sell your body in more carnal
ways."

"The game has strong sexual themes, and lots of sex in general. You can choose the gender of the
people who'll be attracted to you, and fetishes such as tentacles can be toggled off in settings."

Requirements

1. A (relatively) stable internet connection. Luckily, Degrees of Lewdity has a small file-size when unpacked.

2. A HTML-compatible browser or software. This should come bundled with your device of choice already, for
both mobile and desktop devices. Two examples are listed below, there are many others as well, such as
Vivaldi, and Opera.
○ Google Chrome: ​https://www.google.com/chrome/index.html
○ Firefox: ​https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
○ For mobile, it can always be downloaded from the Google Play Store/Apple App Store if you are
missing a browser.

3. A .zip file-extraction software, such as 7Zip or WinRAR.

○ WinRAR: ​https://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
○ 7Zip: ​https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
These are the two prominent software used for extraction. Both function similarly to each other, with some
key differences. It does not matter which one is chosen to extract the game, but use of other file-extraction
software will be unsupported.

4. (ANDROID USERS ONLY)​ Ensure you have a package manager installer. This will be used to install the
.apk file later.
○ There will be one for your phone by default, but just in case you don’t have one, here is an app you
can download off the Google Play Store:

○ Once the APK is downloaded, it will appear in the list of APKs on your device.

5. (iOS USERS ONLY) ​FTPManager. This is found on the Apple App Store. This is essential for the tutorial.

6. (SAVE IMPORTING/EXPORTING) ​Some form of service that can be used on two separate devices, such as
an email service or websites such as Pastebin.

 Setting up WinRAR

Note​: Skip this section if you have WinRAR installed. Choose this, or 7Zip. Both function the
same to each other, with slightly different steps.

Click on the link provided in the “Requirements” section. On the downloads page, you will have
several to choose from. However, you will only need to download one.

Look down to the section “English WinRAR and RAR release”

The x64 (64-bit) version is the one you want. This supports 64-bit OSes such as Windows 10.
Otherwise, install the x32 (32-bit) version. It ultimately does not matter which one you pick, as
long you have it installed.
Choose the destination folder. The
default will be C:/Program Files/WinRAR.

Click “Install”, and let it run.

Ignore everything listed under the red

cross ​(they are unnecessary for this
tutorial)​ then simply click “OK.”

Another box will appear, telling you it’s

been successfully installed. Choose
“Done”.

With WinRAR now fully installed, you are

now able to proceed with the tutorial.
 Setting up 7Zip

Note​: Skip this section if you have 7Zip installed. Choose either this, or WinRAR. Both function
the same to each other, with slightly different steps.

WARNING: ​7Zip is more advanced than WinRAR. If you are new to extraction, please download
WinRAR instead. Do not ignore this warning.

Click on the link provided in the “Requirements” section. On the downloads page, you will have
several to choose from. However, you will only need to download one.

Choose x64 if on an 64-bit OS like Windows 10. Otherwise, choose x32 for 32-bit.

It ultimately does not matter which one you pick, as long you have it installed.

Install it as you would with WinRAR. Select the destination folder (default is C:/Program
Files/7Zip) then click “Install”.

With 7Zip now fully installed, you are now able to proceed with the tutorial.
 Regular/Text-only Tutorial

Step 1. Head to the Blogspot. You will then have three options listed below:

● The Regular version has everything, and is the recommended choice to get the best
experience out of DoL.
● Text-Only will only contain the .HTML file. You will not need to check for external files.
● Android is an .apk (Android Package) used specifically for Android mobile devices.

The regular version will be downloaded and used in this tutorial. However, downloading and
extracting the text-only tutorial will work just the same.

Once done, move on to step 2.

Step 2. It will take you to a MEGA upload. Press the big green button that says “Download”.

Let it finish downloading. It may take up to a couple of minutes, or seconds - depending on your
internet connection.

Once done, move on to step 3.

Step 3. Check where it has been downloaded. If set, it may appear in your browser’s downloads
list.
If it does, it will look akin to the image below. The “test.png” acts as a stand-in for the .zip file.

Follow the instructions above. Hover over the Download icon (1 / 2) - indicated by an arrow
pointing downwards at a line - with your mouse. It will then create a drop-down menu, in which
you then hover over the Folder icon (2 / 2) to open it up in File Explorer.

Please do keep in note that the “Downloads” browser list and File Explorer are two separate
things.
● Downloads - More or less a history of your downloads.
● File Explorer - how files are actually accessed.

Otherwise, it can typically be found in C:/Downloads. Open up File Explorer and track it down.

It will look like this once downloaded.

Once done, move on to step 4.

From here on out, “0.X.X.X” will be the stand-in for the most recent version number of the game.
Step 4. Steps 4 and 5 will cover extracting the game itself. These are where the most common
errors seem to spring up. Please follow these steps closely to avoid potential issues.

Open the file (to wherever you saved it, usually C:/Downloads) with your ZIP file manager of
choice. It will then open up a drop-down menu you can access.

This is done by ​right-clicking​ on the .zip. If you are using WinRAR:

If you use 7Zip instead:

If you have not right-clicked on the ZIP, these options will fail to show up.

You can also choose to double-click on the file itself to open it. Doing so should automatically
open up WinRAR/7Zip - as long the .zip is associated with those applications.
It should then look similar or just like this:

If it does not look like this, you have done something wrong. Please go back and repeat step 4.

For example, it may look like the example above. This is because you have clicked the icon
where the X is displayed (you went back too many times, exiting out of the .zip), or alternatively
you may have done this.

Click on the “Degrees of Lewdity” folder. It will now look like this:

WARNING​:​ N
​ ever run the .html from inside the .zip!

Once done, move on to Step 5.

Step 5. Now to extract. There are two ways of doing this.

Click the “..” folder to head back to it simply displaying the full folder, titled “Degrees of Lewdity”.
Choose the option at the top which says “Extract To”, then choose the file destination path.

WARNING​: Do not choose “Extract To” while in the folder! Choosing to extract it at that point in
a default location such as C:/Documents will extract all contents into there.

If using 7Zip, it will appear as this instead.

Choose your destination path, as shown below. Click “OK”.

The “C:/Games/Degrees of Lewdity” is merely an example. It is preferred to type in your own
folder path there that you will remember. Please keep the “Degrees of Lewdity” part at the end,
as this is the folder path that you will use to access the game from now on.

There are other examples you could use, but they will not be listed on this guide. Alternatively, a
more simpler method is to simply drag and drop the folder itself to a destination of your choice.

This is done by having both File Explorer and your ZIP file manager side-by-side. Hover over
the “Degrees of Lewdity” folder in the .zip with your mouse, then hold the left mouse button
down. Once done, you now have the option to move it elsewhere. Place the folder into File
Explorer.

Pressing CTRL+C (copy) the folder, then pressing CTRL+V (paste) on File Explorer will also
achieve the same result.

While extracting, it may look similar to this. Let it run until it is done, do not touch anything.
Step 6. Navigate over to where you extracted the game.

Ensure you have all files listed in the above screenshot before continuing.

An arrow points at the “.html” file. This is what you will use to run the game.

This is another step that tends to cause user error. Files necessary for the game to run
may be absent if extraction was not done correctly.

If this is the case, repeat step 4-6 again.

Once done, move on to step 7. You’re almost done.

Step 7. Open the HTML. Your HTML handler will now come into play - make sure you have
HTML-compatible software.

Right-click on the HTML file. It will open up a drop-down menu.

Choose the option that says “Open with” highlighted in red below. Finally, choose the software.

If you want to set something as the default handler for HTML files, choose the option that says
“Choose another app”, then choose one of several applications listed.

Make sure this option is checked at the bottom of the list.

Step 8. You’re done! Now simply double-click on the .html file to open the game up in your
browser of choice to run and play it.

Alternatively, you can drag and drop the HTML into your browser to play it.

 Android Tutorial
WARNING​: This will only work for Android devices.

It is recommended to do this on your smartphone. This tutorial does not support the use of
software such as FTP clients to transfer files from one device to another.

Step 1. Repeat Steps 1-3 of the regular/text-only tutorial, except this time download the Android
version.

Make sure the file extension is listed as .apk, ​NOT ​.zip!

Step 2. Head to the “Files” app of your smartphone. It may look similar to this.

Find wherever it is you saved the .apk. It can usually be found in the “Downloads” section, which
is seen when swiping from left to right. The file name will be listed as
“DegreesofLewdity-vX.X.X.X.apk” (the X being the stand in for the version number)
Step 3. Use your package installer of choice to install the .apk.

Select this option when prompted. You may want to tap the “Always” option to associate APKs
with the package manager. This will automatically boot up the package manager when
double-tapping an .APK file - essential for any future updates to the game.

Step 4. Choose the “Install” option. When it is done, simply press “Open”. Choosing to back out
of the app will have the app show up in your home menu. It will appear under this icon:

You are now ready to play Degrees of Lewdity on your mobile device. Enjoy playing the game!
 iOS Tutorial
WARNING​: This will only work for iOS devices.

This will all be done via one device, and will require you to use FTP, but only to manage .zip
files. It does not support the usage of transferring files from one device to another.

Step 1. Search up “FTPManager” on the Apple App Store. This should already be completed as
a part of the Requirements section.
Step 2. Tap “GET” and type in your password and/or Touch ID (or any other means of
security/lock system on your device) to install FTPManager.

This will be your app for running Degrees of Lewdity.

As such, do not uninstall FTPManager once the tutorial is complete. Keep it installed.

Step 3. Refer back to the regular/text-only tutorials, and repeat steps 1-3 to download the game
onto your device.

Step 4. Head to the “Files” app. It should look similar to this:

Find wherever it is you saved the game .zip file.. It can usually be found in the “Downloads”
section,

The file name will be listed as “DegreesofLewdity-vX.X.X.X.zip” (the X being the stand in for the
version number)

Step 5. Tap, and hold onto the .zip file to share the file, like so:
Step 6. Look for “Open in FTPManager.” This will open the FTPManager app and present you
with three options.

Tap the “Copy to” button to save the .zip file to the app.
Step 7. Tap the “My Files” option. It will grant you a bunch of options.

Step 8. Now tap the “Save” option at the bottom right of the drop-down menu.
Step 9. Navigate over to the .zip file, and tap it. It will appear like this in your “My Files” list.

Step 10. Tap “Unarchive” to extract the game.

Step 10. You’re done! Let it unarchive itself until it’s done. You have now extracted Degrees of
Lewdity onto your iOS device. Open up the .zip, and then proceed to tape on the file with the
Safari icon.

Step 11. Extra step. ​Essential.​ Every time you open the game, make sure to tap the ​“Web
Browser” ​option.
 Help and FAQ

Common Mistakes

When getting Degrees of Lewdity to run, members of the community may come across several
mistakes, which can usually be chalked up to user error. This guide was made to circumvent
these very same mistakes, but it is possible for them to be overlooked.

These mistakes may lead into the fairly common ​”No valid storage adapters”​ error, or images
not being displayed. Please read the following instructions in the image below.

● Not using the latest version of the game. This is a mistake that is overlooked, more often than
not. Versions prior to the most recent update are unsupported.

● Running the game in incognito mode. This is highly advised against if you wish to keep your data
safe. When the incognito window closes, your save data will be automatically deleted as a result.

● Not enabling third-party cookies ​AND​ JavaScript. Both are REQUIRED for the game to run, and
function correctly.

● Not using a HTML-compatible browser. This is more common than expected, as a browser that
does not support HTML will fail to run Degrees of Lewdity. For instance, running the game in a
browser such as Brave will most likely trigger this issue.

● Not using the same browser used to save your initial playthrough. For example, if you saved with
Firefox, make sure you are using Firefox to play the game and not other browsers. If you have
saved to disk, check your desktop for the file.

● There is a toggle for images in-game. Make sure that is enabled. Otherwise, check to make sure
you have done step 4-6 correctly.

● A browser being out of date. Recent versions have made Degrees of Lewdity more advanced,
and it may not run correctly (if at all) with older browser versions.
 How to Save
You can save your game by choosing the “Saves/Options” button on the sidebar.

This will take you to a separate menu that appears next to the sidebar. You will be able to save
up to a total of eight slots internally, not including the autosave every time a new day starts.

Saves will be saved automatically in your browser's cache, or stored within the app’s cache -
depending on your device. Deleting cookies or clearing out the browser’s cache will remove
internally stored saves. This also applies to Android, be careful when cleaning the device's
storage - clearing the cache inside the Degrees of Lewdity app will remove the save files stored
in the APK.

You can also choose to save to disk, then name and save your file in a safe location you will
remember. Once saved, you can load the .save back into the game by choosing the “Browse”
option, illustrated below.

WARNING​: Please ensure a save is already loaded before trying to export a save file.
 Save Exporting
You have the option of exporting your current save data as text. This is done to usually transfer
saves between devices, more specifically when one or more devices do not allow access to
save files, such as on Android devices.

First, select this option that says “Export Import/Save”. It is the second tab on the save menu.

The instructions will already be laid out for you within the “​Text Import/Export” ​section, but for
convenience, an image tutorial will be provided here.

Choose the option that says “Get Save Data”.

Once done, this will fill the box up with what seems like gibberish. This is your save data.

Now to save it. Select “Copy Text Area”.

This will copy the current contents for you to your clipboard. However, make sure your device
and/or browser supports the text import/export feature beforehand - otherwise the button name
will change to "Copying Error".

You have the option of moving this elsewhere. For instance, open up an application such as
Notepad, then press ​CTRL+V​ with your keyboard to paste your save data. ​CTRL+S​ to save.

Additionally, select “Load Save Data” to load in the save data stored in your clipboard. This
automatically loads up the save file for you.
WARNING:​ When transferring save data between devices, ensure that the start and the end of
the save data is exact to prevent any potential issues.

Note​: An account is not required to create a new paste.

Follow the instructions listed above. Complete the CAPTCHA if it prompts you with one, like so:

clipboard on your second device. (PC → Android, or alternatively Android → PC)

Access Degrees of Lewdity on the same device, then as instructed before, select “Load Save
Data” to load in the save data stored in your device’s clipboard.

You have now successfully transferred saves between devices.

 Frequently-Asked Questions
Q: Are my saves compatible with the newest update?
A: Unless said otherwise by Vrelnir, they will always be compatible with the newest update.Your saves
will carry over, regardless of where they are saved. If they are saved in a separate location from your
browser, load in the save first. For Android users, simply overwrite the newer version of the APK over the
older one.

Q: What engine does this game run on?

A: Not so much an engine, instead a framework. HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with SugarCube as the
main code framework.

Q: When is the next update/when will X be added?

A: Whenever it's ready. Vrelnir will always keep the community posted before-hand.

Q: I’m still having issues!

A: Make sure you have followed the guide carefully. Go over each step to make sure you haven’t missed
anything, and make sure you have extracted correctly as well (this will be a given if the tutorial was
followed accurately).
