About GBest Consultants

Introduction
GBest Trading Company Limited (GBest Consultants) is a Management Consultancy with
extensive experience in providing innovative, effective business solutions to public and
private sector organizations. GBest specializes in, inter alia, Strategic Management,
Organisational Development and Operations Management. Our services are grouped into
three (3) core areas:

1. Corporate Services
2. Training and Development
3. Credit Union and Cooperative Support

Who We Are

Established in 2003, GBest Consultants is a multidisciplinary consortium of highly qualified

and experienced business and development consultants. Our key consultants have as much
as twenty-five (25) years’ experience in their respective fields.

Over the last fourteen (14) years we have been providing capacity building services in the
areas of business development, organizational development and research to local and
regional clients in the private and public sectors, non-profit organizations, credit unions and
non-financial cooperatives. Some of our projects have been financed by international funding
agencies such as the European Union, the International Agricultural Fund (IFAD) and the
Caribbean Development Fund (CDB).
As a consultancy firm, GBest has a strong commitment to provide strategic and operational
support to organizations to enable them to perform optimally and to successfully achieve
their vision, goals and objectives. We understand the challenges that are predominant in
business environments in the Caribbean. Our efforts are to ensure our clients achieve the
capability to successfully navigate these challenges by providing strategic and operational
strength that will enable their organizations to thrive.

Our Team

The GBest team comprises persons with skills and experience in very key fields including,
but not limited to, strategic management, operations management, financial management,
marketing, training, and human resource management.

Consultants

Virgil Patrick, Managing Director and Lead Consultant

Organization and development expert with over twenty years’ experience in the field at both
managerial and executive levels. Core competencies lie in the areas of, strategic planning,
organizational reform, advocacy and negotiations, entrepreneurial development, cooperative
development, human resource development and international funding.

Joel Edwards

Joel Edwards is a Certified Accountant and one of the leading providers of financial and
management consulting services in Trinidad and Tobago. He has over 40 years’ experience
in Strategic Planning, Project Planning, Implementation, and Management.

Michael Gordon

Business Executive with over twenty five years’ experience in both the Private and Public
sectors, providing dynamic, energetic and innovative leadership in entrepreneurship
development. Experience includes Small Business Financing, Business Strategic Planning,
Strategic Financial Management, Financial Modelling & Analysis, Institutional
Strengthening, Financial Management Systems Development and Operating Systems
Development.

Richard Hillson

More than 20 years’ experience as trainer and coach. Highly effective in the areas of team-
building, managing inter-team relations and personal coaching. He has enjoyed a successful
career in motivating individuals to optimize their skills and talents and achieve their
personal goals. Richard’s core competencies lie in the areas of language acquisition and the
effective use of language, motivational psychology and performance enhancement.

Our Work
