KSK Project Detail:


In the modern day environment of cloud and endpoint devices, the concept of perimeter network has
become obsolete. In this regard, KSK Energy Ventures came with a new security strategy to secure the
company’s assets. The infrastructure in Gateway security was relooked and strengthened to prevent the
intrusion attempt to penetrate network access to hack sites and information. The internal
authentication protection are considered to alternatively protect the network, and Server to further
stabilize the overall IT infrastructure. Apart from Firewalls, the spam filter devices at both main DC and
DR site at the Power Project Management company were installed with custom rules to filter out
unwanted mails, spam and hacking including malware like Ransomware, Crypto Locker variants to
name a few. Guest devices were isolated to a separate network to prevent any intrusion and probable
hit with spam/virus or hack scripts. White Listing of all entities was done through Software Restriction
Policies that helps immensely to protect and secure the network and information. Regular Monitoring
and checking for desired configuration states was done. The IT / Security team were instructed to report
any deviations from best practices of protecting the network and systems security using standard SCCM
tools.
