4 Procedure
4.1 Take a weighted Quantity of appropriate resin from the Drum into a Bucket.

4.2 Add Promoter approximately 1% with the resin to keep Continuity in the
polymerization mix thoroughly with The stirrer.
4.3 Add Accelerator approximately 1% with the resin to Fasten the polymerization. Mix
thoroughly with the Stirrer
4.4 Finally the resin is mixed thoroughly after adding the Catalyst (MEKP) for
approximately 60 seconds.
Allow the resin to set for few minutes. This resin is now foruvarded for FRP layup

Note: - Accelerator should never be directly mixed with Catalyst as it would cause
explosion. The percentage of Catalyst and Accelerator would vary with the ambient
Temperature. The resin should be stored at a temperature below 30" c ln secured
closed Container Store catalyst , Accelerator and Promoter in separate Rooms at
temperature between 15 to 20" C

2 Materials 2.1 ATLAC 382 powder ( Batch No. 1302189)

2.2 Styrene
2.3 Accelerator Cobalt Napthenate

2.4 Catalyst MEKP


2.5 Stirrer

3 Procedure 3.1 Take a weighted Quantity of appropriate ATLAC 382 Powder from the
Drum into a Bucket.

3.2 Add styrene into a bucket and mix thoroughly with the stirrer. The mixture
should be in the proportion of 50-50%

3.3 Add Accelerator approximately 1% with the resin to fasten the


polymerization Mix thoroughly with the Stirrer
3.4 Finally the resin is mixed thoroughly after adding the 1% Catalyst (ililEKP)
for approximately 60 seconds.

3.5 Allow the resin to set for few minutes. This resin is now forwarded for FRP
layup.
Note: - Accelerator should never be drrectly mixed with Catalyst as it
would cause explosion. The percentage of Catalyst and Accelerator would
vary with the ambient Temperature.
