1 Introduction
This instruction manual contains information about using the "FLEGD-GW System Setting Tool" (hatched part
shown below) used to set the GateWay unit for EGD protocol data transfer (the GateWay will be referred to as
"FLEGD-GW" throughout this manual).

2 Workflow
The workflow of the FLEGD-GW tool is shown below. See “Chapter 5 System definition examples” about
setting examples.
Preparation
- Confirm IP address of GW.
(See Section 7.5 of FLEGD-GW Instruction Manual)
- Set the IP address of the setting tool PC to the same
network address as the GW IP address.
Write data to GW
- Open “File” menu and select “GW Write” to
transfer data to FLEGD-GW.
- Restart FLEGD-GW.
See Section 4.3
Read logs
- Open the log screen of interest.
- Open “File” menu and select “GW Read” to read
and display the latest information on the
FLEGD-GW side on the screen. See Section 4.4
Note: The IP address and port must be set for each PC and drive unit on the Ethernet separately.

Save As... (A) Save the content of the active sub-window under the specified
filename. A prompt dialog will appear if the specified filename
already exists.
Save as PDF file (D) Save the print image of the active sub-window under the specified
- filename. A prompt dialog will appear if the specified filename
already exists.
GW read (R) According to the active sub-window, read the content of the GW and
display on the sub-window.
GW write (W) Write the content of the active sub-window to the GW.
