(Week 9 Saturday 16 October 1pm-3pm, open book quiz): 5%

o Comprises 10 questions based on “Research, Resources,


referencing” lecture and all related material provided by the
library staff (NUS libraries)
o To be completed in 10 minutes

- End-of semester review quiz

(6 November Saturday 1pm – 3 pm Week 12): 15%

o MCQ questions open‐book ‐ 15 questions, 15 minutes in


total – All content in the course from Week 1 will be included
in this quiz
o Only lecture content (slides) and required readings are
assessed (recommended readings are not
o assessed)
o Open book; administered through the “Quiz” function on the
module LumiNUS page
o Once an answer is submitted, you cannot attempt the

o Comprises 4 questions, one on each theme, or a


combination of themes in the syllabus. You MUST answer
ONLY THREE of them.
o Max 700 words per part, excluding references and in‐text
citations. Note that this is the equivalent of a take‐home
exam so you will not be given any help or input with regards
to answering these questions.
o Enter submission title, name and student no (Name_Student
No.); submit as Word Doc via LumiNUS, do check for
plagiarism % via Turnitin
o Answers must be submitted on two platforms – by
uploading into the LumiNUS folder AND using the
LumiNUS quiz function. More details will be given via an
announcement nearer to the deadline. Any missing
submission = your answers will not be graded.
o Released on Friday 6PM, 29 October 2021 (with very specific
instructions)
o Due Friday 6PM, 12 November 2021
o Late submission/extensions will not be entertained unless
MC is provided (covering entire period from release date to
due date)

Teaching Modes
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

 This module will be run in an entirely online format.


 For e-lectures, students will watch online lectures conducted by faculty members of the Saw Swee
Hock School of Public Health. E-lectures can be found in the LumiNUS "Multimedia" or “Web
Lectures” tab. Lecturer contacts can be found on the LumiNUS page, and they can be contacted
via email with regards to lectures and topic-related questions.
 Week 1 will consist of two parts. Attendance is required for part 2 live Zoom session at 9AM.
 In Weeks 3 and 5, students will be able to log on to “check-in” session to address queries with
regards to Group Project Part 1. In Weeks 7 and 9, students will be able to log on to “check-in”
session to address queries with regards to Group Project Part 2. These sessions conducted by
your module facilitators are OPTIONAL and will run from 9.00am to 10.30am in the respective
weeks. The sessions will close at 10.30am sharp. Please log in to the virtual breakout rooms
indicated via links in the course syllabus.
 Students will collaborate flexibly online at a time arranged within their teams for Group Project
Parts 1 & 2.
 Students will attempt the Public Health Research Skills Quiz and the Review Quiz via the LumiNUS
Quiz function – please take note of the dates indicated in the weekly syllabus.
