THANK YOU FOR USING THIS PULLEY BLOCK. FOR YOUR
SAFETY AND CORRECT OPERATION, PLEASE CAREFULLY
READ THIS INSTRUCTION BEFORE USING IT.

1.GENERAL
The pulley blocks can be used to change the direction of the wire
rope with a sheave freely rotating on an axle. One side of the pulley
blocks is hinged and can be opened for easy and quick positioning of
the wire rope on the sheave. Swinging the hook in the direction of pull
securely locks the pulley block. The high quality cast steel sheaves
have machined grooves and are fitted with maintenance-free bushes.

AII pulley blocks have been manufactured according to

EN13157:2003, in accordance with the Machinery Directive 98/37/EC.
They are type-tested with the load of4timestherated capacity. Each
unit is proof-tested with the load of 1.5timesthe rated capacity.

Do not use the clamps in areas containing flammable vapors,

liquids, gasses or combustible dust of fibres. Do not use the clamp in
highly corrosive, abrasive, wet environments or in applications
involving exposure to temperatures below 10'C or above 60'C

3.OPERATION
3.1 Read and understand the operating instruction.
3.2 Estimate the load that is to be lifted or moved and make sure it
does not exceed the rated load of the block.
3.3 Make sure that the support to which the hook is attached is strong
enough to hold several times the load. Be sure the block is solidly
held in the uppermost part of the hook, the latch is closed and the
latch does not contact the support.
3.4 Make sure that the block is rigged so that the wire rope will form a
straight line when the block is operated and the block is free to
move and will not come in contact with any object.
3.5 Make sure that the utilization coefficient of the wire ropes used
with the pulley block shall be at least equal to 5.

!` WARNING
To avoid damage and/or personal injury:
1. Do not exceed maximum load of the block.
2. Do not use the block to lift or transport people.
3. Do not use damaged block or block that is not working properly.
4. Do not lift or transport loads over people and make sure all
personnel remain clear of supported load.
5. Do not lift the load that is not fully engaged with the hook.
6. Do not leave load supported by the pulley block unattended unless
specific precaution have been taken
7. Do not lift or transport loads that are not balanced, and the holding
action is not secure.

4.MAINTENANCE / INSPECTION
To maintain continuous and satisfactory operation, a regular
inspection procedure must be initiated so that worn or damaged parts
can be replaced before they become unsafe.

If faults are defected the pulley block must be put out of service
immediately. The intervals of inspection must be determined by the
individual application and are based up on the type of service to which
the block is subjected.

The unit should be inspected for faultless operation and at least

annually investigated by an expert. The wire rope to be inspected to
national standard. Inspect sheave for wear. Inspect hook for flaws,
cracks, distortion, wear and freedom of rotation. Repairs may only be
carried out by a specialist work shop that uses original spare parts.
