III. PROCEDURE
A. Preparation
A1. Preliminary Activities
Prayer
Greetings
Classroom Management
Review of past lesson
A2. Motivation
The teacher flashes a picture on the screen and let the students guess what will
happen base on the given images.
The teacher asks questions to the student.
Have you predicted something in your life?
Did it occur? Yes or No?
What was your basis in making such prediction?
B. Lesson Proper
B1. Activity
The teacher divides the students into 2 groups, then explains what they are going
to do while presenting the rubric for scoring their work. She lets them watch a
short video clip about pollution. Afterwards, the students will create a prediction
by using evidence-prediction chart.
B2. Analysis
The students present and explain their work in front.
The teacher gives follow up questions base on their activity.
How did you come up with your prediction?
What was your basis in making such prediction?
What did you use to signify what will happen next?
B3. Abstraction
The teacher presents the lesson and the lesson objectives. Afterwards, she discusses
the definition of prediction and steps on how to predict.
Prediction - the process that involves taking information or clues, and then using that to
make a guess about what will happen next. In making predictions, we use “will” or
“going to” to signify that it will happen in the future (to predict what will happen next.)
How to Predict?
1. Look at the clues given (title or images)
2. Make connections to prior knowledge
3. Create your prediction
The teacher let the students formulate their own prediction by using another set of
example with follow questions.
B4. Application
The students are group into 3. Each group is given different images and let the
students analyze each picture below and predict the idea presented. There answers
are written on the manila paper provided. They are given rubric in rating their work.
IV. EVALUATION
