FUNDRAISING PROPOSAL

I. GENERAL OBJECTIVE

Group 3 subgroup 1 utilizing their knowledge and skills in the rotation will be able to:

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

a. identify the community’s top problem that affects health;

b. formulate fund raising activities to support the project proposal for the community;
c. generate a return of investment from the fund raising proposal; and
d. use all funds raised for the project proposal.

II. RATIONALE AND DESCRIPTION

People like to eat. There will always be a demand for food that raises funds to attract
fundraisers for this type of business for a cause. Food-related events and eating is a socially
driven practice so fundraisers involving food are sure to draw a crowd. It is a chance for people
to mix and mingle, making them both fun and memorable.

Filipinos are very fond of rice products. Pastil is appropriate for breakfast and snack.
Pastil, or pastel, is a Filipino packed rice dish made with steamed rice wrapped in banana
leaves with dry beef, chicken, and fish. It originates from the Maguindanao people and is a
popular, cheap breakfast meal in Mindanao.

Many college students don’t bring their baon anymore because they tend to rely on what
is available in the canteen or on the fast food chains outside. The group decided to serve an
affordable, satisfying, and nutritious lunch to the students. The food will be packed in a paper
lunch box.

Lastly, Filipinos are also known for making irresistible desserts. The group chose a
dessert that would surely delight in the eyes of the customers and students. Ice cream, a
mixture of milk, cream, sugar and some other ingredients that has been frozen into a soft,
creamy delight using special techniques. The flavor we chose is cookies ‘n cream, it is a variety
of ice cream and a milkshake, based on flavoring from chocolate sandwich cookies of any
brand.
This product aims to have a low-cost budget but with a high income, so the group
members decided to create their own homemade ice cream version. The group will use
chocolate-vanilla sandwich cookies and has a cookie and sprinkles on top of the ice cream
which will make the product appealing to the eyes of the customers. It’s process is easy, not
time consuming but tastes way better than we bought at any ice cream stores.

These products will attract and encourage more people to buy so in order to earn a
reasonable return, strict cost-control measures will be implemented. These measures will
include maximization of product distribution through strict adherence to amounts and recipes
(portion control), and effective utilization of each member of the group. The funds that will be
collected from this product will be used for the cost of materials needed for the project proposal.
