For me, learning self-defense is one of the best way to keep yourself safe. Instead of learning kung fu or
some other foreign martial art, consider learning our very own art of arnis.

it’s a heritage na ipinamana ng ating mga ninuno..Based po sa naresearch ko, before pa po dumating
yung mga Spanish, engaged nap o yung mga ninuno natin sa martial arts, particularly po s aarnis or kali
na tawag nila noon. And yung mga ordinary Filipinos, they practiced kali or arnis not just for self-defense
but also for entertainment po.. and yung mga Filipino s po dati, nagamit nila yung Kali or arnis as a
standard fighting technique in hand-to-hand combat noong nagkaroon po sila ng revolt against Spain. So
sa history po natin, malaki na po talaga yung naging contribution and importance ng arnis
may mga natutunan po ako about sa history, and importance ng arnis, like yung arnis po ginagamit na
po ng mga indigenous people sa ating bansa even before pa po tayo masakop ng mga kastila, and yung
sa importance naman po, nagagamit din po natin yung arnis as self-defense, hindi lang po sa sports.. and
natutunan ko din po na kapag po sinabing arnis, it doesn’t necessarily refer to the wooden stick na alam
po ng nakararami, rather yung arnis po, pertains to the skill or technique na ginagamitan po ng armas,
either yung wooden stick po or bladed weapon
