BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

There are many kind of soaps today. According to the study 85% of people Nowadays

rely on the things that was already made or machinery made including Foods,clothing,cosmetics

and also soaps.it can shorten our life span because of the chemical ingredients .An investigatory

project named Tomato and Avocado Moisturizer for face and body.this study aims to find the

effect of it into human skin using natural soap

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The proponent decided to take up this study to find the other benefit of tomato and avocado

and its undiscovered usage.This study aims to find the answer to this questions:

 How effective this product in moisturizing the skin compared to other,can it substitute

expensive soap ?

 Does this soap applicable to any type of skin?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The importance of this investigatory project is to motivate and explore on how we re

going to discover the benefits of tomato and avocado soap in our skin, If this product is

successful.This would lessen our dependence to machinery soap also to reduce the ,usage of

much money.

The researcher conducted this study to determine the additional potential usage of tomato

and avocado product. The following are the specific objectives of the study.

1.To determine effects of the soap,wherein ,it is effect or not

2.To determine if it can substitute expensive soap

SCOPE AND LIMITION

According to the data we gathered this product is successfully done by

experimenting.This study has its own limitation because as for today ,there is no problem that

encountered like skin irritations by using this product.So when some problems encountered do

please recommend to a dermatologist for further information and cure.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

According to Kurian, J.C., (2012, p.86) Tomato is a much loved vegetable all over the

world, this fruit is the edible tomato and find its place in every home, vegetable markets, or in

department stores. Tomato can also help your skin being healthy, which is also supported by

Bhowmik, D., (et al) (2012, vol. 1) that Tomatoes contain a considerable amount of calcium and

vitamin K. tomatoes contain a high level of lycopene, which is a substance that is used in some

of the more pricey facial cleaners that are available for purchase over-the-counter, Tomatoes are

good for the skin and this fruit can be used in various health problems.

According to Mohammad Ali, S., Siad at A.H., and Karbasizade S.(2015, p.142-148),

skin ageing starts a round age 30 with wrinkling and pigmentation as its main indicators. Tomato

was formulated and compatible with skin and caused no sensitivity reaction in humans, which

they have a similar idea in knowing the fruit was Berna E., Rosmala D.,Haqqi B.,

(2013, p.233) tomato fruit is the source of natural antioxidants, based on preview researches,

since tomatoes have several good antioxidants compounds such as vitamins C and E. it is good if

tomatoes are natural developed as pharmaceutical products especially as cosmetics.

According to De Guzman-Ladion, H., (“n.d.”, p.15), the Avocado is a very well-known

plant. It grows as 15 meters in nature, but in cultivation it is kept less than 10 meters. Avocado is

an excellent cosmetic,it preserves and beautifies the skin and the hair. The Avocado can

moisturize your skin and recovers the damage skin cells and also Bergh,B., (2011, p.25-27) says

that the Avocado has various uses as a natural cosmetic product, with advantages in rapid skin

penetration and as a superior natural sunscreen. Increasing recognition of unhealthful

consequences additives, preservatives, processing, and artificial products generally gives the

Avocado a major advantage food and as a cosmetic.

According to Priyanka, S., Bina, R., Chauhan, A.K., and Maheshwari, R., (2013, p.15-

17) skin is the outer covering of the body,which protects the inner parts of the body and being a

cover. Carotenoids like B-carotene and lycopene act as an antioxidant, the Tomato is not only for

our food ingredients. It has a capability to make your skin smooth and according also to Bushra,

K., (2010, p.25) Tomatoes are staple in every kitchen but hardly will you hear anyone admires its

cosmetic benefits.Whether you want to cure large pores or reduce acne and this fruit are

beneficial in other homemade beauty soap. Benefits of avocado include anti-ageing.

Avocado is an amazing treatment that helps reduces wrinkles. Not only you can apply

mashed avocado flesh to your skin as facial mask,everyone wants to keep their youthful good

looks. Avocados are used in many health and beauty products including hair conditioners, and

facial creams. Avocado is one fruit has many benefits. If applied to the face,avocado can show

very good skin benefits. Applying avocado reduces signs of skin ageing, heals dry skin, and also

prevents from drying.According to many researchers, avocado is one of the best skin care fruit to

fight and prevent ageing. A large amount of sterolins (proteins) is found in avocado. This

sterolins reducing ageing scars, prevent s wrinkles,lightens dark spots and scars and also cures

sun damage. So, to get the perfect tight and glowing skin, you can apply avocado to your

face.Avocado oil is the best extract of this fruit that has the highest amounts of sterolins.

Materials

In order to make this product we need the main ingredient which is the

tomato,avocado,and clear glycerin soap base.The minor thing that is needed are 4 bowls,500g of

water, blender and spatula and also soap molders.

Procedures

In making this product make the two fruit crushed separately.Put the crushed fruit in

two different bowl and set aside oil the 500g water and put it in a bowl after that put the soap

base in a bowl and put it on top of the bowl with the boiled water and stir it slowly.When the

soap is melted put mix it to the tomato and avocado after mix the soap base to the fruits put it to

the soap molders and chill.In 2 weeks you can use it

Result and Discussion

The research design of this study is an experimental design. There will be 3 levels to test the

soap and the respondents will be given 3 weeks to use and see the effectiveness of the soap. In

every level there will be different compositions of avocado and tomato, also there will be 3

participants to represent.

The results of the test performed by the researchers to the representative for the testing of

product; in the first after we apply the product, the skin of the representative becomes smoother.

In the next test, the skin of representative becomes smoother. In the third test, the unexpected

result appeared, the oily skin of the representative becomes normal and smoothers. In the last test

we gathered, the skin of the representative becomes normal, smoother skin and becomes lightens.

It indicates that we are successfully done by this product with no anything else happen.we

Based on the results of these test, the researchers, therefore, conclude that the tomato soap is

effective most likely in expensive soap product. And it is also an alternative substitute in

expensive soap product. In the test we gathered there are no skin irritations or some skin

problems we had met.

RECOMMENDATION

The researcher recommended that if some problems exist, make sure that you should familiar

with the first aid and please consult to dermatologist for further cure, and it might that this study

needs more study to explore the other effects of this product.
