Title

Put an introduction to your story. An introduction will have a hook to catch the reader’s

attention and make them want to read more. Finally, your last sentence should tell the reader exactly

what they will be reading about (but make sure you avoid personal pronouns like “I will write about…”

when you do).

Your body of support will come next. This may be multiple paragraphs. Each paragraph should

start with a topic sentence that has a good transition word to lead into the paragraph. After you present

your topic sentence, you should start presenting your argument. This should include evidence to support

your position. Finally, the last sentence of each support paragraph should help prepare the reader for

the next paragraph.

After you have presented all your points, you will need to write a conclusion for the essay. The

conclusion should wrap up the thoughts that you have presented. It could do this by restating the main

ideas presented, and leading your reader to the conclusions you want them to make, or call for action

based on the information given.
