4,3,2,1 (LAN): These
ports (4,3,2,1) connect the
Router to the local PC(s).
• Use as WPS button: If you have client devices, such as wireless adapters, that
support Wi-Fi Protected Setup, then you can press this button to quickly establish
a connection between the Router and client devices and automatically configure
wireless security for your wireless network.
• Use as RESET button: If you want to reset the Router's to factory defaults
Activity 1: Identification
Identify the following parts or functions of the rear panel of the TL-WR840N
router by supplying the correct answer in the box provided.

1. Connect the Power Adapter to source and to the POWER part of your router.
2. Connect your ISP to the WAN of your router
3. Connect your computer to any of the LANs of your router.
4. Use Dynamic IP Addressing: Go to Computer Settings>Network an
Internet>Select Ethernet>Change Adapter Options>Right Click Ethernet>Select
Properties>Double Click TCP/IPv4>Select Obtain an IP address
automatically>Select obtain DNS server address automatically>Click OK

<Type in the username: “admin”
and password: “admin” (default)

3. Select Wireless Router as an
operation mode<Click Next

7. Review the settings made and once
done, Click Save
The steps presented is based on the first configuration of router upon purchased. If you
want to update the wireless name and password, simply perform Step 1<Go to wireless
tab<perform Step 6.

Post procedure:
1. Get and connect a device to your established wireless network.
Activity 2: Sequencing

as the 1st step and G as the last step.
