Ans:

2.Why should we stop land pollution


Ans: Water that isn’t safe to drink. This itself is
a huge problem. Because this can lead to an
array of diseases. Polluted soil is another
problem. This can lead to a loss of fertile land
which is used for agriculture. Without fertile
land, people will have to clear more land,
including forests in which animals live, causing
even more problems.

3.What can we do to stop land pollution?


Ans: We can start by eating sustainable
things. This not only helps the planet but also
your health. Batteries are another thing that is
harming the environment. You can recycle
your batteries in some shops. And finally, by
producing your own compost.

4.How much plastic is actually recycled?
Ans: About only 8 percent of the world’s
plastic is actually recycled. Most plastics
around the world cannot be recycled. So they
end up in landfills and on the ground. Some
people say that it can take hundreds of years
to biodegrade. However, some people have
been working to solve the plastic problem. So
far, they found a way to make new things out
of used plastic. Such as jackets and running
shoes.

5.What are the causes of land pollution?


Ans: A few examples of Land pollution causes
include, The use of pesticides, Waste, Toxic
chemicals, Acid rain, Deforestation, and
mining.

6.Should all single-use plastic be banned?
Ans: Yes, they should be banned because
most single-use plastic items are hard to
recycle. And as they usually contaminate our
other plastic while getting recycled we cannot
recycle them. Even though they can easily be
replaced with other recyclable items.

7.How long does it take for plastic to


decompose compared to organic waste?
Ans: It can take from 20 to 500 years for
plastic to decompose. It also depends on the
material and structure as well as sunlight
exposure. But even when they do decompose,
they release chemicals. The chemicals can
damage the atmosphere causing even more
pollution.
