MY HOMETOWN
Good morning Mr. Yaddy and all of my friends. My name is M NAUFAL YAQIEN,
I am student of UPN “Veteran” East Java. I am in the first semester, my major is
International Relation. Now, I would like to tell you about my hometown. I am from
Surabaya, my home town belongs to East Java Province. We can use airplane, bus or train if
we want to go there. From Jakarta it take 782.7 km (Seven hundred and twenty seven)
Kilometers to reach my hometown Surabaya.
My home town has a nickname, its called “Kota Pahlawan” or “City of Heroes”
because Surabaya played an important role during the war of independence. The Battle of
Surabaya, which fell on 10 November 1945, is still celebrated as Heroes' Day. The name of
Airport is “Juanda Surabaya” Airport, its located at Ir. H. Juanda, Surabaya.. The name of
harbor in Surabaya is Tanjung Perak Harbor which is located at Tanjung Perak Timur street,
Surabaya.
If you want special food, there is Rawoon and Rujak Cingur, Rawoon and Rujak
Cingur is the best food in Surabaya. Surabaya also have some places which are quite
interesting to visit, some of those places are Kenjeran Park located in Kenjeran Street.
Beyond that, Surabaya also have some historical places, some of those places are Monumen
Kapal Selam located in Pemuda Street. If I finished my study I wouldn’t to find job in
another country because I don't want to be away from my family.
