Brief Description of PAP: PROJECT GOLD-C2N means (Giving Opportunities to


Learn and Defeat Challenges of the New Normal), a
Mathematics department’s intervention activity to assist
students in overcoming challenges they encounter brought
by pandemic situation. These students have their
cellphone and have an access to internet and is capable to
connect and use facebook as a means of remediation tool.
The target of this project is to provide those students some
tutorial videos of their Mathematics teacher regarding
Mathematics lesson indicated in the MELC’s. This project
is in line with the school’s AIP Project Tutok- Ayuda as well
as, school’s LCP Project Tutok-Aral. Teachers who
proposed and implemented the project the project was
motivated by their utmost concern to help their students
who finds difficulty in answering their Module’s Learning
Task in Mathematics as reflected in their submitted
answer sheets using the modular learning process, as well
as in the pre-test provided for this project. The teachers
used facebook account as a means of giving intervention
by uploading tutorial videos regarding their lessons
indicated in the MELC’s.
This project is in line with the school’s AIP project
Tutok- Ayuda as well as LCP’s Project Tutok- Aral. This
project was conducted SY 2020-2021

Project GOLDC2N in SY 2021-2022. These two project
contains the same description.

Mechanism:
Goals/ Project GOLDC2N/Project LIFE is a remediation strategy aimed to
Objectives: ensure that students continuity of learning in Mathematics will be
attained amidst the pandemic situation. It has the following specific
objectives:

1. To provide the 354 students an intervention tool to in learning


Mathematics.
2. To provide those students tutorial videos of their Mathematics
teacher regarding Mathematics lesson indicated in the MELC’s,
twice a week.
3. To increase the MPS of the students in Math of at least 5%.
4. To conduct an action research indicating the effectivity of this
project as a remediation tool.
Beneficiaries: The project benefited the ff.
1. 354 learners and parents
2. School’s teaching and non-teaching personnel
3. Teachers who read the action research and adapted the project
as their intervention tool.
Implementation Mrs. Ma. Gloria D. Flancia and Mr. Louver M. Dela Rosa,
Strategies: Mathematics teachers, planned and implemented Project GOLD-
C2N ( SY 2020-2021) and Project LIFE ( SY 2021-2022)with the
aimed to assist students in overcoming difficulties in learning
mathematics during pandemic situation. This project is in line with
the school’s AIP project Tutok- Ayuda as well as LCP’s Project
Tutok- Aral.
These students have their cellphone and is capable to connect
and use facebook as a means of remediation tool. It’s target is to

provide those students some tutorial videos of their Mathematics


teacher regarding Mathematics lesson indicated in the MELC’s.
Teachers who proposed the project was motivated by their utmost
concern to help their students who finds difficulty in learning
Mathematics and the positive result of the project as reflected in the
action research conducted in it’s trial implementation during
second to third quarter of school year 2020-2021
(Project GOLDC2N) . The teachers used use facebook and e-mail
accounts of students as a means of giving intervention by uploading
and sending self-made tutorial videos regarding their lessons
indicated in the MELC’s. Validity of the videos was ensured by
letting school’s master teacher validate it before uploading to the
facebook and email accounts of the learners.
Monitoring & Since in-person contact with the learners was strictly prohibited
Evaluation: during SY 2021-2022, monitoring of the project was done on-line
like group chats, sms, messenger and the likes. Through the action
research conducted entitled “IMPROVING THE LEVEL OF
PERFORMANCE IN MATHEMATICS OF SELECTED GRADE 10
STUDENTS OF SAN ISIDRO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL SY 2021-
2022 USING PROJECT LIFE: A COMPARATIVE STUDY” the
effectiveness of the project was evaluated. Also, result of the post
test in the numeracy test wherein, San Isidro National High School
was classified as “ has the lowest non-numerates in Padre Burgos
District”, revealed the accomplishment of the project.
Output/s: 1.) Tutorial videos that served as intervention tool for the learners.
2.) Action research entitled “IMPROVING THE LEVEL OF
PERFORMANCE IN MATHEMATICS OF SELECTED GRADE 10
STUDENTS OF SAN ISIDRO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL SY 2021-
2022 USING PROJECT LIFE: A COMPARATIVE STUDY”
3.) Low non-numerates result for SY 2021-2022

Outcome/s: 1. Through the conducted activities, students who found


difficulties in answering their modules in Math and Science
without teacher’s discussion on the topic, enabled to
understand the lesson which was evident in their output
submitted every week.
2. Lowest non-numerates learners in Padre Burgos District for SY
2021-2022.
3. 12% increase in Math MPS was attained.
4. Resiliency among learners, parents and teachers in every
situation that will affect learners learning was developed.
Lesson/s The project implemented taught everyone of us the lessons that in
Learned: every challenge, there’s always something that we can do to beat it.
No matter how hard the situation is, like what we encountered

during those pandemic times, everything is possible if we have the


courage, the determination, the spirit of teamwork and
collaboration with our colleague and stakeholders.
Recommendatio Strategic LCP is implemented as a way to conquer the impediments
ns: brought by the pandemic situation and utmost concern to the
learners to provide quality education is very important.
Collaborative efforts among school leaders, teachers, students and
parents are the prime indicator of the success of the program,
project and activities of the school. Working towards one purpose of
giving the learners a quality education through an innovative
intervention like Project GOLDC2N/LIFE is important in attaining
each educator’s and school’s goals.
