Mock Job Interview Activity
Mock Job Interview Activity
Mock Job Interview Activity
Good interviewing skills are probably one of the best skills a person can have. All too often
qualified, capable people are unable to get work or change to a better job because they don’t have good
interview skills. Interviewing skills, like all skills, are transferrable. For example, good interviewing skills
include the ability to appropriately respond in a stressful situation, present themselves appropriately for
the situation, communicate effectively, and demonstrate appropriate manners. All of these skills will
help a person be successful in social situations, work situations, and school.
The Process:
1. Individually, you are tasked to prepare your resume and cover letter. Depending on your
section, you will presume that you are a fresh graduate and you are applying for the
following position:
A. INF215 – Web Developer
B. PSY211 – Recruitment Staff
C. TOU215 – Travel Consultant
D. PHAR212 – Pharmacy Assistant
E. Other Courses – Customer Service Representative (a safe choice job for any
graduate since the job is skill-based).
A link of a job advertisement will be provided to each section and your application is a
response for the said advertisement.
2. You will submit your resume and cover letter to the folder created in our Teams on or
before January 23, 2022 (until 12 PM only). The folder’s name is “Mock Interview
Documents”
3. The class will be divided into groups of 4-5 members. Each group will be given 10 minutes
to participate in a group job interview. Your professor will inform you until January 22,
2023 how the members of the class will be grouped.
4. The group interview will be conducted using Teams as a platform. Your professor will
initiate the creation of the virtual room on the actual day of the mock interviews.
5. During the interview, you are expected to provide smart answers to the questions,
showcase confidence, and dress to impress the interviewer.
6. Although this activity will be conducted as a group, you will be graded individually using
the rubric that is also provided in this activity.
7. Good luck and let your star shine during the mock interview!
