1. What are the gaps of your study?
Answer: A child protection policy is a must to protect these children. This study assesses the
child protection policy awareness of teachers and the responsiveness of the schools. It also
wanted to know the relationship and program implications.
2. What is the purpose of a child protection policy in schools?
Answer: Protecting children's rights and their best interests. Placing the child as the first priority
when dealing with all identified or suspected cases of child abuse. Empowering and educating
children on their rights, personal safety and steps they can take, if there is a problem.
3. What is the importance of school policies and procedures to teachers and students?
Answer: Policies are important because they help a school establish operating procedures and
create standards of quality for learning and teaching, as well as set out expectations and
accountability. Without these, schools would lack the structure and function necessary to provide
the educational needs of students.
4. What is the relevant of your study to the students?
Answer: An efficient protection is essential to the children's well-being because, as vulnerable
people, they are more exposed to problems of mistreatment, exploitation, discrimination and
violence. It sets out the rights that must be realized for every child – the rights to survival,
development, protection, and participation. It offers a vision of the child as an individual and as a
member of a family and community, with rights and responsibilities appropriate to his or her age
and stage of development.
5. What theory did you used in your study and what is all about?
Answer: Complexity theory emphasizes interactions and the accompanying feedback loops that
constantly change systems. While it proposes that systems are unpredictable, they are also
constrained by order-generating rules. Complexity theory has been used in the fields of strategic
management and organizational studies
6. What is the main concept of your study, why do you need to conduct thus?
Answer: The main concept of this study is to determine the level of awareness of teachers
towards child protection policy at Tandag National Science High school. This study is based on
the article 218, 220, 223 of the family code of the Philippines that gives the school its
administration and teachers or the individual to engage in childcare the special care parental
authority and responsibility for minor child under their supervision custody.
7. Can you cite other study that will help and give some information about your topic?
Answer: In connection with this, A literature review by Roche in 2017 also provided important
details about child maltreatment and child protection arrangements in the Philippines. He further
recommends further research into policy and programs focusing on social, cultural, and structural
influences.
8. What is the research design of your study and how will it help in conducting your
study?
Answer: This study will use a quantitative approach to investigate and gather data from our
respondents to identify the to determine the level of awareness of teachers towards child
protection policy at Tandag National Science High school.
Surendran (2019) defines quantitative research as a systematic investigation that collects
quantifiable data from potential respondents of a specific phenomenon.
9. What research instrument did you used in order to answer SOP 3 in your study?
Answer:
A one-way ANOVA is used for three or more groups of data, to gain information about the
difference between the dependent and independent variables.
10. What is the sampling technique of your study?
Answer: The study used the total population sampling method in choosing the respondents of the
study. This sampling means that all the teachers of Tandag National Science High School as part
of the study.
11. What is the statistical treatment did you used in order to answer SOP 2 and 3?
Answer: The statistics used for this study include weighted mean for SOP 2, t-test, ANOVA, and
Pearson-r for SOP 3. This study also used a Five-point Likert scale to measure the awareness and
school responsiveness of the teachers.
12. Who are the respondents of your study and why did you choose them?
Answer: The chosen respondents of the study are the teachers of Tandag National Science High
School.
13. Why teachers of Tandag National Science High School are the chosen respondents
of your study?
Answer: We believe that teachers have an important role to play in child protection. This lies not
only in the detection and reporting of possible cases of child abuse but also in multi-disciplinary
teamwork, and in contributing to the ongoing support and monitoring of the abused child.
Teacher’s of Science High always encourage children's participation in matters that affect their
lives. Build children's capacities to participate effectively. Organize meetings of children with
school authorities. Discuss child rights issues with the parents in the PTA meetings.
