Activity 1

Read and understand the underlying concept of methodologies and
approaches in community action.
B. Community Profiling
A Community Profile is a collection of relevant information about the
entirety of the community. This has basic elements which includes the aspects on
the area as a place to live, the resources and needs of the community, the
involvement of the member and lastly the preparation of the action plan.
To get to know better the community, one may use maps, surveys or
questionnaires, casual talks to natives, and through the advent of media to
further determine the profile of the community. Ensure that the reason why you
are profiling the community is clear and specific.
