TIMKEN® METRIC
TAPERED ROLLER BEARINGS
Tapered roller bearings to help your equipment excel when
it faces combined radial and thrust loads. They are uniquely
designed to manage both types of loads on rotating shafts and
in housings. Engineered for dependability and better operational
efficiency, Timken ® Tapered Roller Bearings increase
performance, reduce downtime and extend maintenance
intervals.

bearing part number is defined by adding the inner ring
bore diameter after the dimension series.

Matched bearing assemblies are used in applications: Timken metric tapered roller bearing matched assemblies
• T hat require higher load carrying capacity than can be consist of two single-row bearings with individually matched
achieved with a single-row tapered roller bearing; or spacers that are set at the factory to pre-determined
dimensions and tolerances.
• Where the shaft must be located axially in both directions with
a specific axial clearance or preload. The standard outer ring spacer is designed with lubrication
holes to allow for lubricant flow into both bearing rows.
The standard range of assemblies included in the product tables
are specified with a market standard axial clearance value that Matched bearing assemblies are supplied ready-to-fit into
is referred to as Bench End Play (BEP). Application specific axial customer applications, with a unique serial number marked
clearance values are available upon request. on spacers and bearing components for easy identification.
MOUNTING ARANGEMENTS:
Timken can supply standard matched bearing assemblies in both the direct (DF) and indirect (DB) mounting arrangements to meet
the application needs. Both types can accommodate axial loads in both directions.
• Two single-row bearings, with abutting back-facing inner-rings • Two single-row bearings
• An outer-ring spacer with lubricating holes • An outer-ring spacer with lubricating holes
