Pre-lesson:
1. Pupils conduct ‘Hot Seat’ activity.
Teaching & Learning 2. Pupils start the activity by asking a volunteer to sit in the ‘Hot Seat’ in front of the class and
Activities answers a question from the teacher using the target language.
3. Repeat steps by asking pupils to ask other targeted questions, one by one and teacher writes the
responses on the board.
Lesson development:
1. Pupils work in pairs.
2. Distribute task sheets. (Differentiation Strategy)
a. Low level: task sheet A (girl and boy template)
b. High level: task sheet B (girl and boy template)
3. Pupils take turns to ask and answer questions about themselves using the target language given.
4. Ask pupils to write their partner’s responses.
5. Then, guide them to write about their partner and draw a picture (for example, of them, their
family, hobby, favourite food).
Post-lesson:
Pupils introduce their partner.
Display pupils’ work on the classroom wall.
