MANAGING RAIL TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE
Managing rail transport infrastructure also requires multifaceted and sustained concerted effort.
The railway lines of Ghana have deteriorated over long stretches and lot of funds are needed to
rehabilitate it.
REGULAR MAINTENCE AND REHABITATION
Every rail infrastructure should have a maintenance and rehabilitation schedule to guide
its management. Maintenance refer to minor works and rehabilitation refer to major
works on the rails. The schedule should specify when minor works should be carried out
and major works should carried out .If this had been done in the past the railway line of
Ghana may have been in the state it is today.
