    NON RADAR APPROACH PROCEDURE AND PHRESEOLOGIES

    IFR ARRIVING FLIGHTS

    BETWEEN ATC UNITS


    STEP1: ACC informs APP the INBOUND acft at least 15 minutes before ETA (ACC
    Assistant’s duty)

    ACC: APP - CENTRE, INBOUND.


    APP: CENTRE - APP, go ahead.
    ACC: SIA172 B747 from Singapore to TSN , EAT TSH 09:18 release at XOBAV
    09:10 FL110.

    APP: SIA172 ETA TSN 09:18, released at XOBAV 09:10 FL110. PT


    ACC: GI.

    STEP 2: APP informs TWR INBOUND acft (APP Assistant’s duty)

    APP: TWR APP - INBOUND.


    TWR: APP - TWR, go ahead.
    APP: SIA172 B747 from Singapore to TSN , EAT TSH 09:18, expect ILSy approach
    RWY25R.

    TWR: SIA172 B747 from Singapore ETA TSN 09:18, ILSy approach RWY25R, LK.
    APP: PT.

    STEP 3: ACC transfer acft to APP (ACC Assistant’s duty)

    ACC: APP - CENTRE, XOBAV transfer, SIA172


    APP: CENTRE - APP, go ahead.
    ACC: SIA172 over LATHA 09:10, FL110, coming to you.
    APP: Send him over.PT
    ACC: GI

    STEP 4: APP informs ACC the vacant level/altitude

    APP: Centre -APP


    ACC: APP- Centre, go ahead
    APP: FL100 available.
    ACC: FL100 available. GI
    APP: PT.

    CONTROL PROCEDURE
    STEP 5: APP communicate with acft to issue information and appropriate instructions
    Notes:
    - All arrivals is instructed via STAR (Ex: SAPEN 1T) to hold at D14-Rxxx (Ex: D14-R182).
    - Number 1: Is cleared to descend to altitude 3000ft (IAF2, IAF3) or 5000ft (TSH) for ILSy
    APP RWY25R.
    - Number 2 and the later: Is instructed to hold at levels (D14-Rxxx) from 4000 ft up to the
    level appropriate to the approach sequence resppectively.
    - Holding levels at D14-R182-295 should be from 8000 up in order to provive lateral
    separation between departing and holding traffic. Vertical separation shall be maintain
    between all holding pattern except D14-R182 and D14-R295 at the same level is acceptable.
    - Do not allowed acft to hold at 3000 ft over IAF2 (from AC) and IAF3 (from BAOMY).
    - Approach interval and EAT calculation:
     3 minutes: IAF2, IAF3 before the others.
     9 minutes: IAF2, IAF3 after the others.
     7 minutes: Between all D14-Rxxx and each other.
    - Revised EAT: A revises EAT shall be transmitted to the acft without delay, when the revision
    is 5 minutes or more.
    Example:
     DLH774- IAF3 12:00 No delay exppected;
     AFR178- Hold at D14- R182, EAT will be 12:03 (from SAPEN);
     THA688- Hold at D14- R295, EAT will be 12:10 (from MISAN);
     HVN384- Hold at IAF2, EAT will be 12:19 (from SAPEN);

    BETWEEN APPROACH AND PILOT:

    - Aircraft is number 1 in sequence, the phraseologies may be like this:

    PIL: TSN Approach- SIA172.


    APP: SIA172- TSN APP.
    PIL: SIA172 over BACHU 09:10 maintaining FL110, request descent.
    APP: SIA172 cleared to TSH for ILSy approach RWY25R, descend to 5000 ft, No delay
    expected, QNH 1012, report outbound. (Levels check should be done thereafter).
    PIL: Cleared to TSH for ILSy approach RWY25R, leaving FL110 for 5000 ft now, QNH 1012,
    SIA172.

    PIL: SIA172 outbound and leaving 5000ft now.


    APP: SIA172 report establish ILS
    PIL: SIA172 Wilco.
    PIL: SIA172 established ILS.
    APP: SIA172 contact TWR 118.7
    PIL: SIA172 Roger, contact TWR. Good day!

    - Aircraft is number 2 and later in sequence, the phraseologies may be like this:

    PIL: TSN Approach- VJC468.


    APP: VJC468- TSN APP.
    PIL: VJC468 over MISAN 09:13 maintaining FL100, request descent.
    APP: SIA172 cleared to D14-R241 via MISAN 1T to hold, expect ILSy approach RWY25R,
    descend to 6000 ft, EAT 17, QNH 1012, report leaving FL100. (Levels check should be done
    thereafter).
    PIL: Cleared to D14-R241 to hold, EAT 17, leaving FL110 for 6000 ft now, QNH 1012, SIA172.

    PIL: SIA172 holding pattern, 6000ft now.


    APP: SIA172 Roger.

    APP: SIA172 descend to 5000ft cleaed for ILSy approach RWY25R report leaving holding
    pattern.
    PIL: SIA172 Wilco.

    PIL: SIA172 leaving holding pattern now.


    APP: SIA172 report outboud and leaving 5000ft
    PIL: SIA172 Wilco.
