Reaction Paper PSU Binturungan 2023
PSU Binturungan 2023 Sports and Cultural Festival gave me a wholesome and a unique experience in my
entire life. As a student who came from a private school it was a magnificent experience for me as the event in my
previous school is that you can count with your own hands the people who goes to the event prepared by the school.
But, during the PSU Binturungan 2023 I was overwhelm and overjoyed by the tons of people I have seen. Most
probably they are students from the different areas of Palawan with specifically one similarity to us in which all of us
came from one university the Palawan State University also known as the “Pamantasan ng mga Estudyanteng
numero Uno”.
PSU Binturungan 2023 Sports and Cultural Festival was opened by a long stretch of parade consist of the set
of officers per colleges and different college area along them are the teaching staff and the players who are ready to
compete seeing their eyes full of braveness. However, it was not just like what you see in other parades for it was an
artistic and blatant one because costumes and yells was also showcase during the parade in which during the
daytime I had preferred the College of Teachers and Education. The program had not extended long for we had to
perform our field demonstration in which I have felt the wholesome experience indeed. It was so very beautiful seeing
hundreds of students unite as one dancing and that I have never experience in my entire life. But there was a side of
me that wish my family should have seen that expectacular moment. Cheers and claps is what seen and heard after
the dance ignoring the rain of dust after the performance. At first, I thought that we will dance the field demonstration
at night for we do have our flashlight but to my surprise their was a much beautiful contest during the entire night of
the opening program of the Binturungan. The customes prepared per colleges was more awesome when it was
presented during the night in fact I have switch my favorite CTE costume to the CNHS haha for it was totally beautiful
same with their lighsticks bringing the power of pink. The presentation of the pirates costume was so funny and very
entertaining as cheers and laughter was heard and I can say I am one of them. After the presentation of costumes
per colleges the breathaching cheer dance competition was next in which I though I had lost my breath after all the
stunts they had shown. The one cheer dance I had clearly recall was the College of Business and Accountancy cheer
dance because of the girl who had fallen from the stunt and if it was me then I would have been probably be dead
HAHA. Sadly I have not been able to finish the program and had not watch the bench cheering for it was already late.
In spite of going home late it never been an obstacle for me to time in the next day HAHA. Of course, the time
in was really a big part in which I had witness different types of sports and cultural activity for I know without it I can
never be seen at the school campus. So during the second day of the Festival after I have time in I have watched
soccer and volleyball since it was both close to each other. But since, I did not find it interesting I have gone to the
the gymnasium in which I thought there was a basketball but to my surprise. It was a fight of ARNIS! And I was
astonished to what I have seen it was a physically hurtful game with a spectacular judge holding flags. Then the next
day, it was a typical day for me but not for my wallet as it was hurtful to see my empty wallet after I spent my money
to the appetizing food stalls offering different kinds of food and drinks in which some are first to my taste like the
takoyaki in which I preferred the one with squid and cheese as the overload toppings. After that day, a dance and
sports was held at the gymnasium and my friend was one of the competitors. The event started at 6 o’clock in the
evening and the whole gymnasium was full of cheerers from their respective colleges. From 6 o’clock it ended up
until 9 o’clock and from full gymnasium to counted numbers of watchers. With that length of time of waiting I still
continued support my friend and it was totally worth it for they won the gold medal!
PSU Binturungan 2023 Sports and Cultural Festival was indeed a comeback after the pandemic. Most
especially to students like me who was deprived of the time that we should have enjoyed outside those screen
monitors. The Festival was also a way for us students to be freed from all those academic stress that we experienced
since it was the end of our midterm examination. I am beyond grateful for the experience, memories and the laughter
I have shared during those times and the bond that the students created as all have shown Sportmanship. Indeed
Palawan State University is a Pamantasan ng mga Estudyanteng numero Uno.
