the shortest amount of time.

04

When will my

piercing heal?
Healing time varies by individual, care
conditions and piercing positions: basic
positions (such as lobe positions) take about
2 months, while others might take 3 - 5
months on average to heal. Following the
aftercare instructions carefully & maintaining
a healthy lifestyle can significantly reduce
your healing time.

05
10 ESSENTIAL BASICS

Maintain proper

hygiene everyday
It is recommended to thoroughly clean the
piercing at least 2 - 3 times daily using the

3-step of cleaning* process. Do not use any
other substances to clean except for
physiological saline & Povidone Iodine 10%.
Additionally, be sure to clean your piercing
immediately after exposure to unhygienic
environments, showering or after activities
that cause heavy sweating.

a speedy recovery: eat well, sleep well and
exercise moderately. Be attentive to the

Contact
Professionals
If you experience any unusual symptoms
around the piercing, such as swelling, redness,
pain, discharge, or skin bumps, do not
attempt to self-treat. Contact COCKSTOCK
immediately for assistance. Do not change or
remove the jewelry during the first two
months. When it’s time to change the jewelry,
visit COCKSTOCK to ensure a professional
jewelry change. Regularly visit to check on
your piercing. Do not trust treatments
promoted without clear scientific evidence or
guidance from trusted professionals.

5 Downsize timely
As swelling subsides, reducing the length of
the barbell (downsize) can help it fit snugly
against the piercing, preventing tangling and
promoting faster, comfortable healing. It’s
recommended to return to COCKSTOCK
around one month after piercing to downsize.

6 Do not touch!
Be gentle with your piercing. Avoid lying on
the piercing while sleeping. Be careful not to
let accessories such as scarves, hats, or mask
straps get caught on it. Tie your hair neatly to
prevent tangling. Do not twist, turn, or touch,
as this can cause damage to the piercing.

09
10 ESSENTIAL BASICS

7 Keep it dry
Keep the piercing dry. Keep your living
environment dry. Do not let the piercing get
exposed to rainwater or swimming pool
water in the first 2 months. Re-clean the
piercing after it gets wet or sweaty for a long
period of time.

8 No chemicals
Do not let soap, cosmetics, body lotions or
other chemicals come into contact with the
piercing during the first 2 months. Do not
apply ointment, cajuput oil or clean with
substances that are not recommended by
trusted professionals.

9 Eat & drink well

Eat nutritious food with lots of green

vegetables and vitamins. There is no need to
abstain from eating certain foods according
to word of mouth rumors. Avoid foods that
can irritate your body. Avoid using stimulants,
alcoholic beverages or tobacco.

8 Right jewelry

Jewelry made from safe materials such as

Titanium F-136, Stainless Steel 316-L help
minimize irritation. Straight barbell piercings
with small, simple faces will prevent tangling.
Once the piercing has healed, you can freely
change the piercing to different styles!
