Introduction

Background of the study

Cyberbullying or cyberharassment is a form of bullying or harassment using electronic

means. Cyberbullying and cyberharassment are also known as online bullying. It has
become increasingly common, especially among teenagers, as the digital sphere has
expanded and technology has advanced.
Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content
about someone else. It can include sharing personal or private information about someone
else causing embarrassment or humiliation. Some cyberbullying crosses the line into
unlawful or criminal behavior.

Cyberbullying is different from traditional bullying due to the anonymity that the Internet
can provide. Cyberbullies do not have to own their actions due to the anonymity and
cyberbullying is often outside of the legal reach of schools and school boards since it often
happens outside of the school (Belsey, 2004). According to Willard (2006), there are different
forms of cyberbullying. These forms include flaming, harassment, denigration,
impersonation, outing, trickery, exclusion, cyberstalking, and cyberthreats. And the opinion
comes from (until 2015) cyberbullying is a new form of violences that is expressed through
media and has given rise to concern for parents. educators and researchers. In this journey
an association between cyberbullying and adolescent mental health be assessed through a
systematic review to databases which is the pubmed and virtual health library.

Cyberbullying on social media is linked to depression in teenagers, according to new

research that analyzed multiple studies of the online phenomenon. Cyberbullying has
received a high level of inspection because of a series of high-profile suicides of teenagers
that were bullied across various social sites daily. The effects of cyberbullying also include
mental health issues, increased stress and anxiety, depression, acting out violently, and low
self-esteem. Cyberbullying can also result in long-lasting emotional effects, even if the
bullying has stopped.
Correspondingly, cyberbullying can be defined as 'an aggressive, intentional act carried out
by a group or individual, using mobile phones or the internet, repeatedly and over time
against a victim who cannot easily defend him or herself' (Smith et al., 2008).

In this research, we will try to find the effect of cyberbullying to the emotional aspect of
students in AMCFI . To gather data, we will make a survey using a questionnaire with the
following research question. 1.) What are the existing effect of the cyberbullying to the
emotional aspect of students? 2.) When you are in cyberbullying what did you do? 3.) What
can you advice to those students who are bullied by cyberbullying?

In gathering data, we will have 40 respondents (20 male high school students and 20
