(dapat naka-upo kayo, tas papasok si Teacher)
Teacher: Good Morning class
Students: Good Morning Sir!
Teacher: So, before we start the class for our topics today. I have a question,
who knows what is culture? Raise only your right hand.
Rolando: Sir! (taas mo kamay mo)
Teacher: Yes, Rolando!
Berto: Culture is a whole complex which encompasses, beliefs and practices.
Teacher: Very good! Tama Berto! Culture is a whole complex which
encompasses, beliefs, practices, values, attitudes, laws, norms, artifacts,
symbols, knowledge and everything that person learns and shares as a
member. For example, ang wika.
Maliwanag ba class?
ALL: Yes, Ma`am!
Teacher: So, for your task of the day. I will give you the insight about
Anthropology, Sociology and Political Science. And share it with your
classmates and friends for them to know.
All: YES, MAAM!
Teacher: There are four fields of Anthropology which are: Archeology,
Anthropological Linguistics, Biological, and Cultural. So, what is Anthropology?
Yana: Anthropology is a systematic science or study of humankind.
Teacher: Tama, Yana! Anthropology is the study of humankind and a
discipline of infinite curiosity about human being. It`s goal is to understand
about system also, to determine what makes people different from one another.
“Anthropos” meaning man and “logos” means study. Joana, could you
enumerate the 4 types of Anthropology?
Joana: There are four fields of Anthropology Sir: Cultural, Biological,
Linguistic, and Archeology.
Catherine: Cultural Anthropology is a study of culture and people’s beliefs,
practices, the cognitive and social organizations of human groups. From the
word itself, however the Biological Anthropology naman deals with man`s
biological foundation, classification and differentiation. Or to make it short, it
is a physical anthropology.
Anthropology, Joana?
Joana: Yes, Sir. For example: Ita, Ibanag at Ilocano
Teacher: Tama, Joana. May alam na pala kayo about sa topic natin eh. Ano pa
yung dalawang natitira?
Catherine: systematic study of recorded and unrecorded language all over the
world naman po ang Linguistic Anthropology. Take note for the word language.
Teacher: tama! How about you Rolando?
Rolando: Archaeology, it refers to the study of past human cultures through
their material remains. Like fossils, Sir.
Teacher: that`s right! Everyone. You got all the correct answers. So, for our
next topic is about sociology. Greg Jackson is a sociologist who look for
patterns that particular generalities of the study. It is the study of group of
partners for short. There are branches of sociology, can you enumerate
Jefferson?
Jeff: There are branches of Sociology Ma`am which are Theoretical, Historical,
Sociology of Knowledge, Criminology, Sociology of religion, Economy, Rural,
Urban and Political Sociology.
Teacher: TAMA! Palakpakan naman class!
All: claps
check natin bukas. Maliwanag?
ALL: YES MA`AM!
Teacher: Also, there are eight types of Sociology: Anarchism, Communism,
Conservatism, Fascism, Feminism and identity politics, Liberalism,
Nationalism, and Environmentalism. Anyway, let`s move on for the Political
Science.
Science namn ay systematikong pag-aaral about sa gobyerno by the
application of empirical and generally scientific methods of analysis. This is to
deepen the knowledge and understanding of one of the most powerful forces
operating people, communities and corporations today. Also, there is seven
fields in Political Science. Can you give me the fields Rolando?
Rolando: Domestic, Comparative, International Relations, Political Theory,
Public Administration, Public Law and Public Policy.
Teacher: Tama Rolanda!
I hope
you learned from our discussion class.
All: Meron po!
Yun lamang Sir.
Teacher: Good, so nakikita kong nag-advance reading kayo.
