Brown Bear,
Brown Bear,
What Do You See?
How to Use This Resource:

Look through the many options in this set and decide

which would best suit the needs and abilities of your
students. Print and prepare the chosen activities. Read the
book, have a great book discussion, and then use the
different activities you have chosen. You might choose to
only use the coloring page and crafts. You might choose to
use some of these resources as a supplement to learning to
read and write. Each classroom is so unique, which is why I
spent so much time creating so many types of resources for
each book. When you’ve finished all the activities, remember
to read the book again because we all know that THE BOOK
IS THE BEST PART! This curriculum set is just one piece to
a lovely book study. I came up with this, but the rest is up
to you. Have fun!
Let me know if you have any questions
about how to use this resource!

Classroom Discussion Questions:
1. Throughout this book there
is a pattern and rhymes. Who
can tell me what a pattern is?
Who can tell me what rhymes
are?
Answer: A pattern is when something
happens over and over in a predictable way.
A rhyme is when two or more words have
the same ending.

2. What is the rhyme in this story that you hear over and over?
Answer: Brown bear, brown bear What do you see? I see a red bird looking at me.

3. Most of the animals are the color that they are in real life, but some of
the animals are strange colors. Which animals seem to be the wrong
color?
Answer: A purple cat. A blue horse.

4. What’s so fun about this story is that its so predictable that kids like
you can almost read the book along with me. Let’s read it again- but this
time, see if you can say the words along with me.

5. At the end of this book, what do all the animals see?

Answer: A teacher! Maybe the teacher that is reading the book! Wait… are they talking about ME? Do I
look like that teacher?

6. Who does the teacher see?

Answer: The children! Maybe that means the children that are listening to the book. That means all of
you!
