VI. Course Code/Title ES6 – Engineering Economics
VII. Course Description This course is designed for undergraduate engineering students with emphasis on the major concepts and techniques of
engineering economic analysis that are needed in the decision-making process. This course includes the concepts of the time
value of money and equivalence; basic economic study methods; analysis of alternatives using net present value and internal
rate of return, depreciation, taxes, and inflation; decisions under certainty; decisions recognizing risk; and decisions admitting
uncertainty.

XV. Course Policies A. Students with reasonable absences from the class either face-to-face or online classes will be given consideration for the missed
quizzes/examinations upon presentation of duly signed excuse letter.
B. Students who incurred more than 20% of the required number of hours shall be dropped from the rolls.
C. Submission of projects (hard and soft copies) shall be on or before the due date and through the platform agreed upon by the
students and the faculty. Late submission will earn a grade of 3.0. Failure of students to submit the given requirements or
inadequate submissions shall marked INC.
D. Cheating and plagiarism are strictly prohibited. Students caught doing these acts shall be dealt with in accordance with the
provisions in the Student Handbook.
E. Cell phone use during face-to-face classes strictly prohibited specially during major exams.
F. Wearing of appropriate or decent clothing and ID shall be implemented during classes.
G. Students are always required to bring their Vaccination Card in school premises.
