ART APPRECIATION
PRE-TEST
1. What is Art Appreciation for you?
The knowledge and comprehension of the universal and timeless traits
that distinguish all great art is referred to as art appreciation. The more you enjoy
and comprehend art from many eras, movements, styles, and techniques, the
more you will be able to create, assess, and improve your own work. Learning
about and through the arts enhances the classroom experience while also
preparing kids for life after school. Arts themes promote self-expression and
creativity, as well as a feeling of personal identity.
2. Why do people create work of art?
The people create work of art in order to show experience because as a
person, you can be inspired by what you see. You want to show others your
experience to drag them into what you are going through. Also, a reason to
create art is, because you want your art to make people think, to provoke action
and make people talk about your specific subject. Then Social Action, we are
social beings. When you experience something relevant, you want to share this
with someone else. Even if your art in itself doesn’t have a social goal, by
creating art, you can achieve a way of connecting yourself with others. It doesn’t
matter whether your goal is to connect with a small group of oddballs or the
whole world.
3. What is creativity?
Creativity is a way of life that values uniqueness and creates unexpected
connections between seemingly different concepts. Living life as a journey
towards seeing and conveying the extraordinary in the simplest, most everyday
acts is what creativity is all about. Creativity is defined as the ability to create or
bring into being anything new, whether it be a new solution to a problem, a new
method or device, or a new artistic item or shape. Creativity enables us to
examine and solve challenges in a more open and innovative manner. Creativity
stimulates the intellect. A civilization that has lost touch with its creative side is
imprisoned, since generations of individuals may be closed minded. It broadens
our perceptions and can aid in the removal of preconceptions.
4. When can you say that a person is creative?
People that are creative have a lot of energy, both physical and mental.
They may labor for hours on a single activity that captures their attention and
yet appear to be excited about it. Balancing creativity and practical knowledge
require understanding which ideas to pursue and others to tweak or discard.
This skill set is essential for becoming a creative person. An artistic or creative
person may appear relaxed, yet when it comes to pursuing their passion, they
may be extremely industrious and dedicated. Creative folks like daydreaming
and imagining the world's potential and wonders. They may be immersed in
creativity and fantasy while being grounded enough to make their daydreams
a reality. Creative people often display traits of both introversion and
extraversion. Creative people are frequently so preoccupied with their next
idea or endeavor that they fail to reflect on their earlier accomplishments.
People that are creative are dedicated to their job, but they can also be
objective about it. They are open to accept criticism from others, which helps
them to step back from their job and see areas for development.
3. OBSERVATIONS: What are your observations when doing the art work?
- I’m having a hard time in choosing what would be the subject that I can use for
my art work. There are many subjects that I want to make but for me the sunset is
the best because it proofs that no matter what happens, every day can end
beautifully.
4. COLOR SCHEME: What color scheme have you applied (warm or cool colors)?
- Sunsets are mixed of warm colors and as you can see from my art work it
composed of red, yellow, orange and even black.
5. OBSERVATIONS: What is your observation in using color and applying the color
aspect of your work?
- While using the colors that I applied to my art work it makes me glad because
it helps to become more good-looking and attractive to the eye of the people.
In applying the colors, it’s a little bit hard because I’ve used a pastel which the
colors need to be spread in order to have a beautiful result.
- The format of my art work is Portrait and it is very nice to the eye.
7. FINAL TITLE:
- Sunset is one of the most photographed natural events in the world. The
golden hour can be simultaneously shared with the ones we love and care
about and lived as a very personal and spiritual occasion. A sunset tells us
what we are and where we should head to. It's a spiritual guide powered by
Mother Nature and one that we should never neglect.
D. Reflection: What life lessons have you learned in making this activity? For
your answer, occupy space below.
- Sunset is more than just admiring the beauty of the sky. It's about being by the sea
and enjoying the peace and quiet as the sun sets. As the sun sets, there is a sense
of quiet in the air. Noticing how, as the sun sinks below the horizon, everything else
seems to calm. Sunsets and sunrises depict our life in many ways, beginning with a
sunrise and ending with a sunset, where the dawn signifies birth and rebirth and the
end of the day marks the conclusion of a journey.

us to arise and brighten someone's day.
