    AN INAUGURAL SPEECH WRITTEN AND PRESENTED BY ABASIUBONG AMOS, THE EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT

    OF SCIENCE EDUCATION STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION (SESA), DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE EDUCATION,


    UNIVERSITY OF UYO. TODAY FRIDAY, 20TH OCTOBER, 2023 AT NEW EDUCATION (NEDU) BLOCK UP HALL,
    UNIVERSITY OF UYO TOWN CAMPUS.

    PROTOCOLS,
    I bless the name of God almighty for his grace and mercy making this day a reality, to Him alone be forever glorified.
    I’m forever grateful to the leadership and management of our prestigious department (Science Education), our amiable mother
    and Head of Department; Dr. Rebecca U. Etiubon, the Staff Adviser: Dr. Essien E. Udo fstan amongst others for their all-
    round supports toward this inaugural ceremony. I am indebted to Rvd. Ubong Ufot, for his unwavering prayers toward my
    success at the poll.

    Let me thank the electoral commission ably chaired by Snr. Comr. Edidiong Okon for working tirelessly through the
    whole process, ensuring a free, fair and credible election that brought about the GOD’S PLAN SESA 2022/2023
    ADMINISTRATION and planning of the swearing-in. Big thanks to the immediate past president of SESA, Uniuyo; Comr.
    Ekemini C. Nyong whom has all time treasured the growth and development of our dearest SESA. My opponent in the race;
    Comr. Valentine Thompson who made the race more competitive and worthwhile, this is a win for us as I’ll be looking
    forward to entertaining your contributive ideas so we can communally build the SESA of our dreams.
    My profound gratitude goes to all the invited guests here present that have chosen to honour our invitation thereby, gracing this
    occasion with their esteemed presence.

    Dearest SESArites, Thank you is an understatement on your decision to elect me as your President and I stand on this
    mandate that you have collectively given to me. I will be unapologetically committed to making sure that I unleash as well as
    execute the SESA GOD’S PLAN AGENDA which constitute six realistic and achievable agendum;
    UNITY/TOGETHERNESS, WELFARE, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, TECH, HUMAN CAPACITY BUILDING and
    EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF THE SESA FACILITIES inorder to achieve the SESA we desire aiming at building the
    SESA that suits the 21st century. It’ll not be business as usual but it’ll be a government based on merriments upon merriments.
    So, I charge you all to fasten your seat belts and keep supporting the SESA God’s Plan agenda as I intend not to take on this ride
    alone but together.

    At the same time, let me use this avenue to dissolve all standing committees/appointees so that my own committee can
    have full power to stand and rule.
