5 Core Values

We require knowledge from a variety of people and

institutions that we will meet because people in this world face
huge obstacles. I discovered about the modest beginnings that
paved the way for a rich history when I became a part of St.
Paul University Dumaguete. In addition to introducing
individuals to Christ Jesus, our purpose also comprises reaching
out to them, instructing them, and showing them love,
compassion, and concern for those who are in need. Paulinians
are known for being straightforward, hospitable, engaged, and
dedicated. I found the home learning program to be difficult as a
student because I wasn't ready for it beforehand and because
this was a new learning environment for me. My role as a
Paulinian instructor is
centered on being Christ-centered. This fundamental value serves as a
constant reminder to me to reflect the love, compassion, and teachings of
Christ in all facets of my professional life. It serves as a reminder that I
am tasked with helping pupils navigate their own unique journeys, and
that my job as a teacher goes beyond merely imparting knowledge. I
learn the benefit of having sincere concern and sympathy for my students
from the Paulinian value of charity. It inspires me to develop a
welcoming and encouraging learning atmosphere where each student can
realize their full potential and feel appreciated and accepted. I can have a
long-lasting effect on my students' lives by being kind, patient, and
understanding. Charism honors the different skills and abilities I bring to
my job as a Paulinian instructor. It serves as a reminder that I have been
given a specific responsibility: to encourage and support the development
of my students. By living out my own charism, I inspire my students to
identify and develop their unique abilities, building a culture that
promotes imagination, critical thinking, and individual
development. As a Paulinian educator, I am called to
acknowledge how I influence both my pupils' and society's
futures. I want to provide my students with the knowledge,
principles, and outlook they need to make a difference in their
communities through commission. The Paulinian ideals place a
strong emphasis on community, which emphasizes the virtues of
cooperation, solidarity, and shared responsibility. Building strong
connections with others in the community helps me to develop
open dialogue, respect, and support both within and outside of
school. I must follow St. Paul's teaching and live and love as
Christ did as a Paulinian. To overcome these challenges, I need to create a supportive environment where I may
grow in my abilities and talents and learn new approaches to
problems. This will enable me to restore my Paulinian
identity. Paulinians are followers of Jesus, and I am one. I
must expose myself through compassion and dedication in
accordance with God's plan. It takes time to follow Christ, but
doing so means making a lifelong commitment to do s o until
the end of time.

REFLECTION

When I think back on my teaching internship, I can state with

certainty that it has been a priceless journey of personal and
professional development. Working closely with seasoned teachers
and interacting with a wide range of students during this internship
has had a lasting impact on how I perceive teaching and the area of
education in general.

In the actual setting of a public school, I

discovered how crucial it was to develop
genuine relationships with my kids. Each
student came to the classroom with unique experiences,
aspirations, and backgrounds. By creating a warm and
encouraging environment, I witnessed their growth not
only intellectually but also emotionally and
socially. I was able to tailor my education to each student's
needs as a consequence of the relationships
established by trust, empathy, and understanding,
maximizing their potential and igniting a desire for
learning.
The considerable learning opportunities my
internship offered were among its most
important features. I was introduced to real-world projects and
duties right away, allowing me to put the skills I had learned in
school to use. Working with professionals in the sector helped
me greatly to broaden my knowledge and comprehend the
practical applications of my career. This experience not only
bolstered my confidence but also showcased my ability to
deliver results in a professional setting.

The positive feedback received from my supervisors further

validated my contributions and motivated me to strive for
excellence.
The internship did provide some difficulties,
though. I ran into situations that forced me to
think quickly and outside of my comfort zone. The
difficulties I faced taught me how to be resilient, adaptable,
and how important it is to ask for help when you need it.
Even if there were times when I encountered obstacles or
made mistakes, I discovered how to view them as
chances for development and constantly work on becoming
a better person.

The environment of a public school is a

mixture of various cultures, richness, and
shared experiences. Students there come from a variety of cultures. I was
able to recognize the value of multicultural classrooms, where many
viewpoints are combined to produce better learning settings, by accepting
this diversity. The challenges posed by this diversity gave me the chance
to develop my teaching methods, encourage inclusivity, and fortify the
links among the students. In the demanding setting of a public school, I

gained perseverance, flexibility, and an appreciation for the need of encouraging a sense of belonging among
students from various backgrounds.

Overall, I would say that my internship was a wonderful and life-changing experience. It has not only improved
my academic career but also given me the skills I need to succeed in the working world. I can't wait to apply
these lessons going ahead and confidently start the next phase of my career. The journey I've been on during my
teaching internship has been transformative, advancing both my professional and personal development. It has
strengthened my dedication to education, deepened my understanding of successful teaching strategies, and
altered the direction of my future career as a committed and enthusiastic educator.
