PARTIDO STATE UNIVERSITY HISTORY

Goa, Camarines Sur

Petitioning Chapter PC 123

In the year 1997, Alpha Phi Omega International (Philippines), Incorporated in

Partido State University (former Partido state College) of Goa, Camarines Sur was
organized by Brothers Amado T. Cledera Jr., (0705-93-24917) of Eta Epsilon
Chapter Shoe Batch 92a with a pledge of name Shoe-gun, and Randy M. Rollo
(0705-93-22026) Manila Film Pesteval Star Award Batch 94ab with a pledge name
Edu Mansanas of the same chapter.

The requirement came into realization and success the help of the petitioning
chapter co-orgainzers Brothers Getulio P. Brucelas Jr. VI (0707-96-24919), Brod
Richard M. Rollo (0113-95-26192), and Sis Marites Prado-Aninipot (0423-90-19023).
They were able to survive its Charter Batch 97a of brothers namely, to wit;

1. Edwin Abante (P/N Edu Mansanas II)

2. Joseph Miraña (PC 121-97-47621, P/N Cerico Asetre II)
3. Ruel Opeña

The recruitment for the petitioning group of PSU continued in year 1998 and was
able to survive its second group of five brothers and two sisters. Recruitment was not
the easy because of some incidence of hazing involving other fraternities, the
petitioning group was not able to produce new members for two years.
Until it 2001, Brod Magallan F. Candelaria (PC 121-198-47600), the GC and
lone resident of PSU petitioning group with the support of the late Brod Bernardo V.
Paca0 (0113-79-8984), they were able to recruit young men and women compose of
the “illegal Babies Batch 2001.” Fortunately, they were able to survive 17 new
members with the help APO alumni of GOA, Camarines Sur. An attempt to apply for
the requirements of the accreditation and recognition to the National Administrative
Office of the Alpha Phi Omega Philippines was then initiated by the “Illegal Babies
Batch 2001.” The group was not able to complete the requirements for the process
of the petition of the new collegiate chapter thus it did not prosper.
The following brothers made an effort for the first attempt of petition for
collegiate Charter:
But it was another failure on the attempt for the installation of the new
chartered collegiate chaptering PSU of the 4 th District of Camarines Sur for some
unavoidable circumstances. Until such time, some changes in the policy and
procedures had been made by APO Natioanal Administrative Office in the chartering
of collegiate chapter since the implementation of the Alpha Phi Omega Pledge
Program (APP) in 2008.

On August 4, 2010 former Grand Chancellor Brod Ryan Garde endorsed

Brothers (GC) Dunhill P. Alvarez and Jerick A. San Juan to Brod Edgar P. Pesimo
(former SLAR Section 3 Chairman) for consultation of new procedures in chartering
collegiate chapter. Under the helm of Israel “Ace” Somera (RAD-SLAR), series of
consultation was made to expedite the documentation and drafting pertinent papers
necessary to comply with the requirement of the APO National Administrative Office
for securing Petitioning Code for PSU with the continuing guidance of the National
Executive Director Amelito “Bong” G. Cruz. On March 17, 2011 the Petitioning Code
of 121 was then for the petitioning chapter of Partido State University. The PC 121
has two years to complete all the requirements for the petition on accreditation and
recognition.

Before the D/Y 2011-2013 ends and the expiration of the petitioning
code, the petitioning chapter PC 121 submitted the requirements for accreditation
and recognition before February 16, 2013 Commission on Membership’s meeting
through the encouragement form RAD SLAR Porfirio “Elmer” M. Reyes and untiring
support of the SLAR Directorates, the Greatest Team.

“The price of success is hard work,

dedication to the job at hand,
and the determination
that whether we win or lose,
we have applied the best of ourselves
to the task at hand.”

Despite of the challenges on the process of the new petition, Brothers
Georgette Caritos, Arnel Bucnafe, Ryan Garde, Jossil Reviro, Jason San Juan,
Alberto Azcarraga Ramil Rodriguez and Sis Jessica Caña joined hands to achieve
its vision. With high spirits and belief of the rest of the PC 121 alumni, the petitioning
chapter will be finally awarded with Greek name chapter and will be included in the
roster of collegiate charter before the 27th National Biennial Convention in Legazpi
City on May 21-26, 2013.

The following brothers composed the new set of chartered members sworn to
continue the aspiration of the fulfilment to have its own charter and be included in the
roster of collegiate chapters of Alpha Phi Omega Philippines.
