THREE-DAY REGIONAL ENHANCEMENT TRAINING-WORKSHOP

FOR COACHES ON DIFFERENT SPORTS DISCIPLINE,
STRATEGIC COACHING: A REFRESHER COURSE
AND TACTICS FOR SPORTING EXCELLENCE

1. To ensure the optimal performance of our athletes and coaches in the

forthcoming Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet on May 06-
10, 2024, in Ormoc City, this Office, through the Education Support Services
Division (ESSD), announces the conduct of a Refresher Course Training for Coaches
scheduled on April 05-07, 2024, in Baybay City.

2. The activity aims to:

a. review and reinforce coaching techniques and strategies;
b. enhance coaches' knowledge on the rules and regulations of various sports
events;
c. provide updates on sports science and sports medicine relevant to athlete
performance and safety; and
d. foster teamwork and collaboration among coaches within the region.

3. Participants are anticipated to arrive at the venue in the afternoon of April 05,
2024, with the commencement of the activity scheduled at 3:00 p.m.

4. The refresher course will be attended by winning coaches from various sports
disciplines from the 13 Schools Division Offices. The official list of Tournament
Directors (TDs) and Assistant Tournament Directors (ATDs) who shall also serve as
facilitators of the activity is enclosed to this Memorandum.

5. Two (2) days of this activity fall on a weekend; thus, all participants are
entitled to Service Credit or Compensatory Time-Off (CTO) equivalent to eight (8)
hours of service per day consistent with the rulings under DepEd Order No. 67, s.
1988 and CSC Memorandum Circular No. 09, s. 1988.

6. No registration fees are required. The transportation, meals, and other

expenses that may be incurred by the participants in the conduct of this activity
shall be charged against School Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses
(MOOE)/ Special Education Fund (SEF)/ Local Sports Funds/and/or other Local
Funds available subject to the usual accounting, auditing rules and regulations.
