GROUPACTIVITY/PROJECT NO. 1
OBJECTIVE: This activity is to engage the students/learners to read their assigned topics,
identify the main concepts, illustrate and give examples, write a well organize report or output
summarize the assign topic at the end of the subject matter and involve all students/learners to
show their skills , knowledge and behavior in a group undertakings. This activity shall fill
the gap of some miss lessons and discussions due to class disruption.

Procedures:
1. The students may be tasked to read the topics from the book.
2. This may be utilized to cover a chapter or a lesson depending on what we really
want to cover. It is up to us. For Regular class, it is possible to cover lessons, but
for Modular modality, it may be used to cover the entire Unit.
3. Group the students in five up to six depending on the size of the section. Each
group should have at least a maximum 5 members if possible. Then let them,
identify who will be the team/group leader.
4. Submission of the output dependent upon the announcement of the assigned
faculty.

NOTE:

1. All source of data and information such as journal, books, social media, etc
should be acknowledged like the author, date of publication, publishing
company and online sources.
2. Regularly visit and have a research activity in the DYCI library, bring with
you the referral slip as part of your output and evidence in your
performance task

are the patterns in which a list number that follows a certain sequence.
Generally, the patterns establish the relationship between two numbers. It is also
known as the sequences of series in numbers. In order to solve the problems on the
number pattern, first, we have to understand the rule being followed in the pattern.

Builder Notations/Rule method

1. Write the given set in the set-builder notation. A = {1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13}
Solution: The given set A= {1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13} in the set-builder form can be written as:{x : x
is an odd natural numbers less than 14}.

2. How to write x ≤ 3 or x ≥ 4 in set-builder notation?

Solution: We can write x ≤ 3 or x ≥ 4 in set
builder notation as:{x ∈ R | x ≤ 3 or x ≥ 4}
3. If you are asked to list a set of integers between 1 and 6, inclusive, then you can simply use a
roaster form to write {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}.
But the problem may raise if you will be asked to list the real numbers in the same interval in
roaster firm.

4. A = {x : x is a natural number less than 7} which can be read as “ A is the set of elements x
such that x is natural numbers less than 7”. The above set can also be written as A = {x : x N, x <
7}.

5. This notation defines the set of multiples of 3, where each element "3n" is obtained by
multiplying 3 by a positive integer "n." So, it includes numbers like {3, 6, 9, 12, ...}.

6.This notation represents the set of square numbers, where each element "x^2" is the square of a
real number "x." So, it includes numbers like {0, 1, 4, 9, 16, ...}.

7. When we have a simple set like the integers from 2 to 6 we can write:
{2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

8. The set {5, 6, 7, 8, 9} lists the elements. We read the set {x is a counting number between 4
and 10} as the set of all x such that x is a number greater than 4 and less than 10. Technically,
the same set in the set builder form can be {x | x ∈ N and 4 < x < 10} (or) {x | x ∈ N and 5 ≤ x ≤
9}.

9. x: x is an even natural number less than 12} is the Set- Builder form for {2,4,6,8,10}

10. The interval (-5,9] can be written as S = {x : x ∈ R , -5 < x ≤ 9 } in set builder form
