IV. PROCEDURES
Before the class starts, the teacher will make sure that the room is clean and the chairs and
tables are properly arranged. The teacher will also arrange the seating arrangement according to
their height but will also consider students with visual and hearing problems. If in case there is a
special student, he or she will be placed next to his or her supportive classmate in the front row.
(Establishing effective seating arrangement for him or her is one way of addressing his learning
needs.) On the other hand, if in case there is an IP student will be given a choice in which chair
she prefers to sit on. House rules and Health and Safety Reminders will also be presented and
explained. These will all be done to ensure the safe and secured learning environment of the
learners.

In checking students’ attendance, the teacher will prepare an empty bowl on the
teacher’s table and let the students write their name on a piece of paper and put it in
the bowl. This will serve as their attendance and will be used for the discussion and
recitation later.

To review on the previous lesson about simple past tense and past participle, the teacher will
present 10 verbs in their base forms. Students’ task is to give the simple past and past participle
of each verbs.
The verbs are:

The students will be grouped into 4 groups. Each group will be given a scoreboard to record the
points earned by the group all throughout the one hour lesson.
For this activity, the students will be given phrases that they will decode. These phrases are the
learning objectives ought to be achieved.

emphasis on the integration of Mathematics to the lesson. In relation, the teacher will present the

Sample exercises will be given to students to further comprehend what past perfect tense is.

#1 Answer: Because the helping verb had is the past form of has and have.

The teacher will further explain that past perfect tense tells about a past action that was
completed before another past action started.
Example: After Jose had eaten dinner, John washed the dishes.
Students will be encouraged to give their own examples.

#2 In this activity, the students will identify the simple past tense and the past perfect tense in the
sentences that will be given. Red and green flags will be given to students. They will raise their
green flag if the underlined phrase in the sentence is in past perfect tense and red flag if the
underlined phrase is in simple past tense.
FLASHBACK WRITERS
To practice students’ gained knowledge about past perfect tense, the students will be given 5
minutes to write a 5 sentence paragraph about their past experiences using past perfect tense.
The teacher will pick students’ name from the bowl who’ll share their work to the class.
PASS OR PERFECT
To develop students’ mastery of the lesson, set of multiple choice questions will be given to the
students. Their task is to identify which word or phrase is best to complete the sentence.

G. Finding practical applications God’s enduring love for all
of concepts and skills in daily God had always loved people very much. He had shown his love by sending his son, Jesus, to
living. teach and help them. Before that, people had felt lost and confused, but God had already
planned a way to bring them hope and peace. Even when they made mistakes, God had
forgiven them and given them chances to start anew. Throughout time, God's love had never
stopped shining brightly for all to see and feel.

To wrap up the lesson for today, the learners will be given exit slips to fill-out.
