INTRODUCTION
This internship report delves into my experience and insights gained during my
internship at MANI AIRCON, a prominent air conditioner retail showroom, specializing
in providing high-quality cooling solutions to both residential and commercial customers.
During my time at MANI AIRCON, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the world
of retail operations, marketing strategies, customer engagement, and the intricacies of the
air conditioning business.
Through this report, I intend to shed light on the significance of air conditioner retail
showrooms in the broader HVAC market, emphasizing their role in meeting the ever-
growing demands of consumers for energy-efficient and technologically advanced
cooling solutions. Furthermore, I will share my observations and recommendations to
help MANI AIRCON continue its pursuit of excellence in the retail segment of the air
conditioning industry.

A/C MANI AIRCON is a well-known air conditioning and refrigeration sales and
service center located in the Hemalakshmi complex on Gandhi Road, Srirangam,
Trichy. The company is managed by M. Raja, who oversees the day-to-day operations
and ensures the smooth functioning of the business.
Leadership:
Mr. M. Raja: As the managing director of A/C MANI AIRCON, Mr. Raja plays a
pivotal role in the company's success. With his extensive expertise in the field of air
conditioning and refrigeration, he leads the team in delivering exceptional service and
ensuring the business's seamless operation.

A/C MANI AIRCON offers a comprehensive range of services to cater to the diverse
needs of its customers:
The company provides a wide selection of air conditioning units, from split systems
to central air conditioning, sourced from trusted manufacturers. They help customers

opportunity for an internship to gain valuable insights and hands-on experience in the
air conditioning and refrigeration sector.
Kaviya is the receptionist at A/C MANI AIRCON. She plays a crucial role in
welcoming customers, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a
pleasant and organized reception area. Kaviya is responsible for providing excellent
customer service and ensuring that all customer queries and requests are addressed
promptly and professionally.
Gokul is the service technician at A/C MANI AIRCON. With his expertise in air
conditioning and refrigeration systems, Gokul performs installation, maintenance, and
repair services for customers. He is well-versed in diagnosing issues, troubleshooting
problems, and providing efficient solutions to ensure optimal performance of air
conditioning and refrigeration units.

DAY REPORT
Day 01 (15/05/2023):
On my first day, I visited the workplace and interacted with my colleagues and other
employees. I familiarized myself with the work environment and the team.
Day 02 (16/05/2023):
I focused on sales details related to air conditioners. I learned about different models,
features, and pricing options. I also assisted customers in making informed purchase
decisions.
Day 03 (17/05/2023):
This day was dedicated to servicing the air conditioners that were sold. I gained hands-
on experience in maintaining and repairing air conditioning units.
Day 04 (18/05/2023):
The company introduced a special one-day summer sales promotion. They offered a
15% discount on one-ton air conditioners and a 20% discount on 1.5-ton air conditioners.
I assisted in promoting this offer to customers.
Day 05 (19/05/2023):
I worked on entering the previous day's sales data into the register. This
allowed us to track the growth rate of the organization and analyse sales
patterns.
Day 06 (20/05/2023):
A new stock of Hi TACHI brand air conditioner models arrived, and I assisted in
unloading and organizing them in the showroom.

Day 07 (22/05/2023):
I compared the previous sales data with the current data and analysed the profit rate.
The summer season led to a peak in air conditioner sales, and I observed the market
strategy employed by the company.
Day 08 (23/05/2023):
This day had no sales activities. Customers visited the store to gather information and
receive estimations for their buying plans. Only services were provided on this day.
Day 09 (24/05/2023):

The focus of the day was on creating posters. All team members shared their
suggestions and ideas for designing effective promotional posters.
Day 11 (26/05/2023):
The company offered a special promotion of free installation for air conditioners on
this day. Customers were attracted to this sudden offer, which eliminated any concerns
about service-related issues.
Day 12 (27/05/2023):

I had conversations with sub-dealers to gather details about their orders and
requirements. Understanding their needs helped us ensure efficient order fulfilment.

Products were delivered to the sub-dealers while maintaining business ethics.This
approach aimed to build strong relationships and generate more profits through repeat
orders.
Day 15 (31/05/2023):
I analysed the monthly sales data and formulated plans to increase profits by
providing attractive offers to customers.
Day 16 (01/06/2023):
I calculated the previous month's profit/loss and identified seasonal selling patterns.
The high demand for air conditioners during the summer season was evident in the data.
Day 17 (02/06/2023):

A half-day special offer was introduced to customers, providing free service for one
year with the purchase of an air conditioner. I assisted in explaining the offer and
facilitating the process.
Day 19 (04/06/2023):
Although Sundays are usually holidays, this Sunday was a special working day due
to the high sales volume during the month. I participated in sales activities and served
customers.
Day 20 (05/06/2023):
I focused on customer service and analysed data related to customer feedback and
satisfaction. This helped in identifying areas for improvement.
Day 21 (06/06/2023):
A promotion was carried out for the new product, the LG 1.5 ton 5-star AI dual
inverter air conditioner. I assisted in promoting its features and benefits to potential
customers.

Day 22 (07/06/2023):
I called previous month buyers to offer them free service vouchers as a gesture of
appreciation. This aimed to strengthen customer relationships and encourage repeat
business.
Day 23 (08/06/2023):
I worked on entering data related to orders, sales, and service activities into the
system, ensuring accurate records for future reference.
Day 24 (09/06/2023):
A meeting was conducted to discuss the monthly sales target. Strategies and plans
were formulated to achieve the set goals.

On the last day of my internship, I completed the necessary formalities, collected and

CONCLUSION
I learned about the different types of air conditioning systems, their features, and
their applications, which has enhanced my technical knowledge in this field.
Additionally, I developed essential skills in customer engagement, problem-solving, and
effective communication, all of which are crucial in the retail industry.
Furthermore, I had the privilege of witnessing how the showroom successfully adapts
to market trends, promoting energy-efficient and eco-friendly air conditioning
solutions. This experience has not only broadened my horizons but has also inspired me
to explore innovative and sustainable practices in the HVAC industry.
Overall, this internship has been a remarkable learning journey, and I am grateful for
the support and mentorship I received from the showroom staff. It has equipped me
with practical skills, industry knowledge, and a deeper appreciation for the importance
of air conditioning systems in our daily lives. I look forward to applying the lessons
learned during this internship to my future endeavours and contributing positively to
the HVAC industry.
