Please write to WILP Registration Cell at registration@wilp.bits-pilani.ac.in with BITS ID Number | Student
Name in the Subject Line of mail for any queries / issues pertaining to Semester Fee Payment & Semester
Registration procedures and processes.
Upon the commencement of the Registration session for a semester, the WILP Registration Cell will intimate you in the
form of an email announcement along with the details of the Registration Process and related important information. An
announcement regarding the commencement of the Registration for the semester will also be put up on the eLearn portal
homepage. You can login to the eLearn portal for viewing the registration announcement.
On receipt of the registration intimation, students must complete the semester fee payment and complete the registration
on the WILP ERP portal as per the instructions specified in the email before the deadline mentioned in the email.

The Registration has commenced for only continuing (Have already taken exams for the semester) students of WILP
and not for newly admit students.
If you were on break in your previous semesters and want to continue from this semester, please drop a mail at
registration@wilp.bits-pilani.ac.in mentioning your reason of Long Absence.
3) I am in my 3rd semester, however, the registration commencement mail is for 1st Semester 2023-2024.
Please note that the registration has commenced for 1st Semester of Academic Semester 2023-2024. Please note that
this refers only to the First Semester of the Academic Year 2023-2024 of BITS Pilani and not your Individual Programme
Semester. For a student, it can be his/her 2nd Semester, 3rd Semester, 4th Semester etc.
The Registration has commenced for Continuing students (who have already taken exams for at least one or more than
one semester). Newly Admitted students can consider their Admission Offer letter of the 4 courses they are already
registered in First Semester of Academic Year 2023-2024.
Kindly clear your cache and cookies and try to access ERP Portal on Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
Kindly drop a mail at mailadmin@wilp.bits-pilani.ac.in for re-setting your BITS Mail ID password.
7) I am getting the error message as “Hold on Record” on ERP while validating the courses on ERP.
You are getting this error because your semester fee payment has not been successful yet. If you have made the
semester fee payment, kindly wait for some time and if not paid, kindly make the semester fee payment.
9) I have made the payment but not able to add courses on ERP.
Once you make the successful completion of the payment ERP Registration Portal (https://erp.bits-pilani.ac.in) you
have to wait for 4 to 24 hours for the payment to reflect in your account. You need to re-login in the ERP portal after three
hours to complete the registration process for your next semester courses as per the process mentioned in Step 2 of the
Registration Manual. Please note that in case the semester fee payment has been paid successfully from your end, you
would be able to login to the ERP portal using your BITS mail ID and password. No separate login ID and password
would be required for the same.
In case you are opting for making the Registration Fee payment using EMI Option, please visit the EMI link mentioned in
the Registration commencement mail, you will have to wait for the EMI to be successfully setup on the system. This may
normally take 3 to 4 working days. After your EMI gets disbursed / approved successfully, you can proceed with your
course selection on ERP.
10) I have done my payment and it is debited from my account but the payment transaction details are showing
as transaction Failed. Please can you look into it and let me know.
If your amount has been debited and transaction status is reflecting as Failed, please contact your Bank.
In case the fee payment has been deducted twice from your account, the duplicate payment made shall be tracked and
credited back to your account within the next 2-3 weeks’ time.
Payment may be rejected due to incorrect Bank Account / Card details provided, or net banking login credentials. You
are requested to check the information provided and try again. In case the problem persists, please check with the Card
issuing bank for the same.
13) I have applied for EMI LOAN OPTION and have queries related to Loan.
Please reach out to the concerned Mail ID / Contact No. of the EMI Loan Service provider mentioned in respective Loan
Service Provider EMI Manual.
The Fee payable will be mentioned on the payment page link for Registration. The fee payable is the same as the
semester fee that you have paid for your earlier semesters. Please check your earlier fee receipts / earlier bank
statements for the semester fee paid.
The fee receipt will be available online for download from the eLearn portal within a month’s time of the semester fee
payment.
16) I am a Company Sponsored student, but the system is asking me to make the fee payment.
We have not received your name from Company under Company Sponsored Students List. Please reach out to your
Company In Charge / WILP Business Development Team for addressing this issue.
17) Why I am getting “You owe Rs xxxxx” message on ERP portal even after making the fee payment.
Please note that you are getting this error because you have made the EMI payment and not one-time full payment,
however, you can ignore this message and it will be removed automatically after sometime when our reconciliation
process gets completed. You can proceed with your semester courses selection. It won't impact your semester
registration process.
18) I am trying to enroll for Dissertation / Project / Project Work, however, I am getting the error.
As per Institute’s academic regulations, students need to fulfill the minimum academic requirements of the CGPA with
passing grades in all prescribed courses before registering the final semester Dissertation. If the academic performance
of the student falls below the minimum requirements, student will be required to register in some courses again in a
subsequent semester and clear them before registering for the Final Semester Dissertation.
ERP portal will not allow you to register with the courses which have exam clash. Please try to register for another set of
courses.
20) I am not able to validate courses on ERP even after adding them on ERP.
Kindly add the courses in Shopping Cart and not your Planner. Please refer to the manual
for the process steps.
21) I am not able to add courses on ERP even after successful payment transaction.

22) I have added and validated my courses on ERP, however, I haven’t received any confirmation regarding my
registration.
You can login into the ERP Portal and check the courses registered for the upcoming semester.
23) I have registered for my courses on ERP Portal, however, but, they have not been updated on Canvas.
Updating of Semester Courses on Canvas Portal will be completed only after the completion of Semester Registration
Deadline and your registered courses will be visible on these portals before the Semester Class commencement date.
However, If you are not be able to view your courses on the portal before the Semester Class start date, kindly drop a
mail at registration@wilp.bits-pilani.ac.in.
You may check your Academic requirements on ERP system and register accordingly for the pending courses. You can
also download the Performance sheet for your program is now available on ERP system. You can now track your
academic progress in your programme and you can also plan your Registration for the next semester accordingly after
going through the Performance sheet which is downloadable on the ERP system.
It is advisable that you keep a track of your completed and pending core courses as well as elective courses in the
program and thereafter only choose the remaining courses as per your academic requirements while registering for the
next semester.
You may check and download soft version of grade sheet at e-learn portal. You could also check the course history and
grades on ERP after login.

29) Can I register in final semester (Dissertation / Project / Project Work) with backlog course?
Kindly note that the Dissertation / Project / Project Work will be assigned only after fulfilling the minimum academic
course requirements. Students cannot register for the final semester consisting of the Dissertation / Project with pending
Backlog subjects. In case the student has any backlog courses, the student will have to take up additional semesters as
required and complete the pending backlog subjects first and once you have successfully cleared the backlog courses in
an additional semester, you can proceed to register for the Final Dissertation / Project Semester of your program.
Please note that for the Higher degree (M. Tech ) programmes require a minimum CGPA of 5.50 without any E Grade in
any of the courses to register for Final Semester Dissertation / Project / Project Work.
31) My last semester CGPA is less than required. Can I register for next semester?
You will be able to register for the subsequent semesters as students have the scope to improve their CGPA in the
coming semesters of the degree programme.
32) I do not wish to register for this semester. How can I drop or break in a semester?
Student can request to drop/skip the semester online at the time of registration after submitting valid reasons. If you
intend to not register and take a break / drop this semester, kindly send us a mail at registration@wilp.bits-pilani.ac.in
with the subject : DROP (Take a break) in the upcoming semester.
Please note that in case you have chosen to drop a semester during the registration process you need not pay the
semester fee. However, in case you have registered for a semester by paying the fee and you choose to withdraw
midway in between the semester, please note that the semester fee paid will not be refunded. The fee paid will also be
not carried forward to a subsequent semester. You will have to register again for the same semester when you return to
complete your programme and will have to make the complete semester fee payment again. Please note that in case
you have paid your fee using EMI and dropped a semester midway, you are required to make the remaining EMI
payments and close the loan as per the set EMI repayment schedule.
Please note that once you have confirmed your registration and paid the applicable semester fee, your registration
stands confirmed to the semester. You will not be able to drop / skip the semester midway. In case you decide later to
leave the semester midway, please note that the semester fee paid will not be refunded nor carried forward to another
semester. Dropping the semester after making the semester fee payment is termed as “Withdrawal”.
