Course Objectives
After successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
 Describe the relationship between business and economics in the Bangladesh and globally, and
be able to demonstrate a global perspective regarding the opportunities and challenges of
conducting businesses in the global marketplace.
 Discuss how issues of social responsibility and ethics affect business as well as apply ethical,
legal, and societal perspectives to business decisions and situations.
 Describe various types of legal ownership; define what a small business and entrepreneurship
are and their importance to the Bangladesh. Economy; discuss how the Small Business
Administration helps small businesses; and explain the various types of franchising
opportunities as well as their advantage and disadvantage.
