Employment Offer

Dear XXXXX,

We are delighted to offer you a permanent position commencing as “xxxxxx” at Jones the Grocer. You will be reporting to the
xxxxx and the details of your package are set out as follows:

Gross Total Salary AED X,XXX.00/- per month pro rata.

Basic Salary AED X,XXX.00/- per month pro rata.
Housing AED X,XXX.00/- per month pro rata.
Transportation AED X,XXX.00/- per month pro rata.
Living Allowances AED X,XXX.00/- per month pro rata..
Annual Vacation Allowance AED 1,200.00/- per year (pro rate doesn’t apply)
Holiday Entitlement 30 calendar days’ holiday leave per annum pro rata, plus public holidays.
Medical Insurance You will be provided with medical insurance as per company policy.

Probationary Period:
Your employment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a 6-month probationary period as per UAE Federal Labour law.
Remuneration will be evaluated post probation period.

Notice Period:
 Upon successful completion of the probationary period either party may give one month’s notice in writing to terminate
this contract.
 If the employee resigns before the completion of the two years contract without any reasons arbitrary from the
company or due to violation of Labour laws, he/she must compensate the company against all recruitment fees and
expenses incurred by the company.

Restrictive Covenant:
 The Employee agrees that during their employment and for a period of Twelve (12) months following its termination,
he will not either on his own account or for any other person, firm or company, directly or indirectly, work with another
Food Retail company actively working in the UAE without express written permission from the company.
 This covenant reduces to Three (3) months restriction once the employee has worked for the company for a period of
Three (3) years or more consecutive service.
 You will refrain from taking up any part time/full-time job assignment with any other organization during your tenure
of service with our organization. Consequently, non-adherence of this clause will result in immediate termination of
service.
 As an employee of the company, you will be given access to sensitive information and data of the company. You will
not during your employment or after termination of such employment, utilize or divulge to any person or person(s), any
secret or confidential knowledge or information which you may have acquired because of your employment by the
company. Non-compliance with this clause will constitute a breach of trust and will result in either disciplinary action
or termination of service.
 Upon termination of employment, you shall immediately return and deliver all properties belonging to the company or
related to its business including, materials, memoranda, notes, photographs, records, files, reports and other documents
which may be in your possession.

Hours:
 The Employee shall work a maximum six (6) days per week for Fifty-Four (54) hours per week or nine (9) hours or
more per day. The (1) one-hour break during the day (over and above working hours) will be decided by the line
manager depending on the work load at the location. Due to the nature of the business weekend work is inevitable and
you agree to this obligation as part of the contract of employment.
 You will follow the instructions of management regarding reporting channels and all other matters regarding your
work.
 This letter represents the whole arrangements between the employer and employee and all previous correspondence and
negotiations - oral or written are excluded.
 Your indicative (but not exhaustive) job description will be communicated to you upon acceptance of this offer letter.
 Your appointment is subject to UAE Immigration and Labour Laws and its requirements.
 Please note that this appointment letter should be treated as strictly confidential.
Visa Processing:

  All standard visa costs as stipulated by the various ministries related to processing a visa will be borne by jones the
grocer.
 Medical clearance from certain countries will need to be provided prior to visa application and cost for such documents
will be borne by the candidate.
 Candidates who are on visit, tourist or residence visa may require exiting and re-enter the country (UAE) for residence
visa purposes, the cost associated to status change will be borne by the candidate.
 This offer letter will be registered with ministry of labor on the basis of limited contract for a period of two (2) years,
then it will be renewed upon mutual consensus.
 The company reserves the right to charge the candidate against some employee related expenses, such as (but not
limited to) emirates ID, ticket charges and status change, hotel booking, such expense would be recovered over a period
of 6 months through monthly installments.
 Visa processing takes normally 4-5 weeks, the company shall not be responsible for any overstay charges due to the
delay of visa issuance.

Location:

 Dubai/Abu Dhabi – jones the grocer LLC reserves the right to transfer you to an alternative site within the UAE as per
company needs. You will be given reasonable notice of any such change.

The following documents will be required to proceed with your work permit:

 Colored Passport Scan

 Clear Passport size photo
 Copy of current UAE visa / Cancellation if applicable

Should you accept this offer letter please sign it and return to us within 1 week of receiving this letter.
This employment offer supersedes all prior communications, agreements and understandings (whether written or oral) between
the two parties.
