Learning Outline

Pre-lesson 1. Teacher displays flashcards, introduce and review food vocabulary.

1. Teacher directs pupils to vocabulary section SB page 49. Have pupils listen and follow
(CD1 – Track 70). Pupils chorally repeat and point.
2. Asks ppls about the picture in the SB. Ppls recognize and list out the name of food.
Identify food that ppls can count and can’t count.
Lesson Delivery
3. Play song CD 1 Track 71 and have ppls to listen and sing along.
4. Refer the tables and explain countable and uncountable nouns. The use of indefinite
articles a/an for singular nouns and some for plural.
5. Explain to ppls that they have to complete the tables based on the lyric. Pupils write in
their exercise book.

1. Have pairs of pupils present the answer. Class discussion.


2. TPR activity – Teacher distributes plain paper to each ppls.
Post Lesson 3. Assign a food mentioned in the song to each ppl and asks them to draw it.
4. After finish, teacher plays the song andf have ppls to held up their drawings as they sing
along.

Pre-lesson 1. Pupils answer question in Think! Elicits the pupils.


1. Pre-teach: exchange programme (when pupils go to a school in another country and live with

2. Pupils do p.49 Activity 1. Pupils read email and answer the questions. Compare answers.
3. Pupils do Activity 2 then compare with a partner. Check answers with class. Explain that to

4. Each group take turn to act out the story.

1. Warm-up: Ready, set, draw.- Divides class into groups. Each groups needs a paper and a
Pre-lesson pen. Teacher shows a picture/word of clothes to one member from each group.
2. The pupils go back to their groups, draws the picture and other members guess.
1. Review the topic of jeans by asking pupils if they wear jeans. Encourage them to talk about
the small differences between jeans they wear (or other clothes).
2. Pupils read about some jeans in Pupil’s Book p.79. Divide class by two groups. One group
provide 6 questions based on the adverts while other group answer the questions. Then
discuss the answers as a whole class.
Lesson Delivery 3. Pupils read the texts/ adverts and complete the table in activity 1.
4. Tell pupils how many RM (Malaysian Ringgits) there are in £1 (pound). Show them how
to convert £ into RM. Have them convert the prices shown in the texts.
5. Pupils talk about the different jeans in activity 2. In pairs, discuss the good and bad parts
about the jeans in each advert. Volunteers tell the class their ideas.
6. Pupils discuss how they would spend their £50 in activity 3 and give reasons.

Post Lesson 1. Class discussion- pupils tell and share their decision to class which jeans they will buy and why.

1. Draw on board a stick person and write ‘Describing people’. Pupils brainstorm words about

4. Write on board ‘Spot the mistake’. Pupils use sentences they wrote about themselves in
Activity 2 but change two adjectives. They write them on paper and put their name on the
back. Collect sentences and put in a container. Take one out, say the name of the pupil and
read description to class. Pupils put up their hands if they spot the mistake. Choose pupils to
say the mistakes then ask the pupil who wrote the sentences if they’re right or wrong.

back. Collect sentences and put in a container. Take one out, say the name of the pupil and
read description to class. Pupils put up their hands if they spot the mistake. Choose pupils to
say the mistakes then ask the pupil who wrote the sentences if they’re right or wrong.
