    ACTIVITY:
    Pursuant to unnumbered DepEd Memorandum Untitled Conduct of
    Description:
    quarterly Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for SY. 2023
    which aims to test the contingency plans of government agencies for an
    earthquake in all areas in the Philippines. With this, all elementary and
    secondary schools, both public and private are directed to conduct
    Earthquake Drills simultaneously on September 07, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
    Objectives:
    The following were the specific objectives of the activity:
    a. To orient pupils/stakeholders in what to do during earthquake
    and make them prepare for disaster.
    b. To join in with the Earthquake drill.
    Preliminaries:

     SDDRR coordinators prepare for an evacuation center


     Orientation on what to do during actual earthquakes

    RESULTS:

    The following were the highlights of the activity:


     No more ceremonial sights during actual conduct of NSED. Instead, the NSED
    will be conducted within respective household.
     The start of the practice, the OCD, in collaboration with partner information
    agencies, shall initiate the ceremonial pressing of the button online using social
    media platforms and other relevant media platforms. This served as the trigger for
    all stakeholders to simultaneously observed the “duck, cover and hold” procedure.
     The drill has started at 2:00 PM and ended at 3:00PM

    Participants Feedback:

     Participant actively participated during earthquake drill. Everyone aim


    to do and be oriented during the said activity.

    1. Design of the
    Culmination:

     This activity is designed to enhance teachers and stakeholder disaster’s


    awareness especially earthquakes.

    2. Methodology:

     Preparation of the evacuation area, evacuation for orientation .

    3. Manangement of Activity:
     Earthquake Drill SY. 2023 was manned by the Teachers and activities
    were facilitated by the SDDRR Coordinator,
    Erlinda C. Navales.

    4. Resource Person:

     Lambao Elementary School Personnel successfully facilitated
