TRAVEL AGENCY AND ITS

ORGANIZATIONAL CHART

 MANAGER - A travel agency manager plans, organizes, directs and controls the operations of
travel-related organizations. They also co-ordinate and direct the activities of staff, overseeing
not only the day-to-day tasks, but the hiring, training and evaluating of staff members as well.
Agency managers may also research new products and destinations, often by traveling to them
and experiencing firsthand the services available.

 SECRETARY - A travel secretary works in an administrative capacity in an agency or


corporation. He or she may also be called a travel office assistant. Travel secretaries coordinate
trip plans for clients under the supervision of an agent, and often answer phones and serve
customers. If a secretary arranges trips for corporate executives, he or she also usually prepares
travel itineraries or schedules.
 BOOKKEEPERS use organization skills to help them prioritize and plan their tasks. They often
organize data for both short-term and long-term projects. Having strong organizational skills
also allows them to maintain financial records with a specific system so that they can access
them easily.

 CASHIERS are usually responsible for receiving payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers,
or automatic debits. The also count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of their
shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.

 THE UTILITY WORKER is responsible for keeping the buildings, grounds, equipment and
inventory clean, orderly, properly maintained, safe, and secure. Assists skilled maintenance,
landscaping and custodial staff as directed in performing semi-skilled or unskilled tasks in the
upkeep and repair of facilities.

 A TRAVEL COUNSILOR is a certified travel agent who helps clients in planning trips and
travel. He/She counsels clients on interesting vacation destinations and attractions. He/She
handles buying their air tickets, making hotel reservations, and booking rental cars.

 THE LIAISON OFFICER is a conduit of information and assistance between incident


personnel and organizations that are assisting or cooperating with the response.

 RESERVATION AND TICKETING OFFICER are employed by airlines, bus companies,


railroads, and cruise lines to help customers in several ways. Reservation agents make and
confirm travel arrangements for passengers by using computers and manuals to determine
timetables, taxes, and other information.

 The Travel Account Executive assists in managing accounts by processing account management
activity reports, acting as a first point of contact for clients regarding any account management
issues. He/She analyses reservation rates and average spending statistics of client accounts.
