GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1) Duly Filled Application Forms (to be downloaded from the institute website www.nitmanipur.ac.in for the
respective positions) along with supporting documents must be produced on the date/time of interview. It is
recommended to submit the duly filled application forms with necessary documents in advance to the office of the
Project Focal/P.I, addressed to “Dr. Ng. Romeji (P.I: FLEWS–Mn Project), Department of Civil Engineering,
National Institute of Technology Manipur, Langol, Imphal–795004, Manipur” in the prescribed format by hand
or speed/registered post; in a sealed envelope super-scribed on the envelope top corner as “Application for the
Post of ……………………………….…, FLEWS–Mn Project”.

2) Candidates may send a scanned copy of the same in advance to ngromezi@gmail.com for review purpose only.
This will not be considered as an official receipt copy.

3) Pre-screening to shortlist the candidates for the written test/interview or both will be conducted for checking
eligibility criteria as well as verification of documents/testimonials, based on the specialization and availability of
candidates and requirements as per the project on the scheduled date of interview. The institute reserves the right
to shortlist/withheld/reject any application and no information on this regard will not be entertained

4) Only eligible/shortlisted candidates will be eligible to appear for the Walk-In-Interview. No separate call/offer
letter will be issued to the selected candidates.

5) Candidates selected for „Project Associate/JRF‟ are encouraged and may apply for the regular PhD program
provided that they satisfy the eligibility criteria for PhD program in the Department of Civil Engineering and
conform to NIT Manipur ordinances/norms.

6) Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented at
the time of interview (for shortlisted/eligible candidates).

7) Mere fulfillment of the required qualifications and experience, does not entitle a candidate to be shortlisted for
interview. The Project Focal/Principal Investigator (P.I) reserves the right to fill or not fill the position.

8) Recruitment is purely on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project completion. No claims for
regularization will be entertained and considered illegitimate in the case of the selected project staff(s).

9) The Project Focal/Principal Investigator of the project reserves the right to curtail or extend the time duration
of the engagement of the project staffs as per requirements. The P.I also reserves the right to alter the number of
vacancies to be filled or to cancel the interview without assigning any reasons thereof.

10) Candidates in any form of employment in Govt./Autonomous/PSU organizations, are required to produce "No
Objection Certificate" from the employer at the time of interview, failing which he/she may not be considered for
written test/interview.

11) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

12) In case of his/her selection, the candidate should accept the offer of appointment and join within 3 days with
effect from the date of selection (offer of appointment), failing which the appointment will be cancelled. Request for
extension of joining time will not be entertained.

13) Candidates are advised to check the institute website (www.nitmanipur.ac.in) regularly for
updates/rectifications, etc.
