Hello and Welcome!
We invite you to partner with the British International Academy’s Model
United Nations (BIAMUN) 2024! BIAMUN is a student-led Model United
Nations conference which welcomes over 100 students annually from our
local schools in Amman, Jordan. It is going to be hosted at The Four Seasons
Hotel from February 29th - March 2nd 2024. Our three-day conference
provides a realistic and engaging simulation of numerous United Nations
committees. After leaving BIAMUN, middle and high school students will
have furthered their understanding of global affairs, international relations,
and diplomacy, as well as improved their skills in public speaking, research,
and writing. We aim to foster a learning environment while allowing students
in our community to become better global citizens.
What is a MUN?
Model United Nations, or MUN, is an academic simulation
where students are assigned as delegates to the UN and replicate UN
committees. The primary goal of MUN is
to give participants an understanding of
international relations, diplomacy, and
how the UN operates. In a Model UN
conference, students represent particular
nations and anticipate the roles of
diplomats or representatives from those
nations. They participate in debates and
discussions on a range of international
issues, complete and negotiate
resolutions, and try to find solutions to global issues.
The Need for Sponsors
We tried our best to minimize our costs in order to offer
exemplary need-based financial aid to ensure that no student is deprived of
an opportunity to attend BIAMUN due to monetary reasons. However,
because of the size of the conference and our desire to grant a good
reputation as the Model UN conference, this is difficult to accomplish alone.
Thanks to our generous sponsors. Your sponsorship goes directly towards
improving the overall quality of the conference and financial aid for students.
Without your support, our delegates wouldn’t be able to participate in such a
transformative, educational experience. Sponsoring organizations can receive
a variety of different benefits if you choose to support BIAMUN 2024. During
the duration of your sponsorship with BIAMUN, your organization will be
directly broadcasted to more than 100 participants. Please note that these
sponsorship levels are not concrete, and we would be more than happy to
negotiate your individual organization’s sponsorship needs. Though we
greatly appreciate any and all monetary donations, sponsorship is not limited
to such. Any forms of sponsorship in terms of resources or services that your
company or organization may be able to provide are also sincerely welcomed.
