What is Blood Donation ?

Blood donation is the process of voluntarily giving blood, either whole blood or specific blood components, for transfusion to another person.
The donated blood is typically used to treat medical conditions and injuries that result in blood loss or the inability to produce enough blood.

During the blood donation process, a healthcare professional will draw a specific amount of blood from the donor's arm using a sterile needle and
collection bag. The collected blood is then processed, tested, and stored until it is needed for a transfusion.

Donated blood can help save the lives of people who are undergoing medical treatments, such as surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy,
as well as individuals who have suffered injuries or trauma. Blood donation is a safe and easy way to help others and is considered a critical part
of modern healthcare.
